Sacred Heart Council #6228 K of C Minutes - October 26, 2023
1. The meeting was called to order at 5:59 PM by Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski.
2. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, led the Council in the opening prayer.
5. There were 9 members and one guest in attendance. The guest was Mike Davis
from The Salvation Army.

9. Mike Davis, of The Salvation Army, provided the date of Saturday, November 25,
for bell ringing at Pick ‘N Save and Stoneridge Piggly Wiggly. A signup sheet was
circulated. All interested in participating should contact Keith Kasubaski.
10. A Motion was made and approved to donate $500 to the Wautoma Food Pantry
towards the purchase of Thanksgiving turkeys.
11. A Motion was made and approved to donate $500 to the Community Christmas
Project.
12. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, outlined the Christmas Manger setup for
St. Joseph’s and at the World War II Memorial in Wautoma. Council members will
meet at St. Joseph’s at 8:30 AM on Friday, November 24, to pick up and set up
the Manger at the World War II Memorial. The other Manger setup will be done
on a trailer for the parade being held on Saturday, November 25. Upon completion,
Council members will stop for breakfast in town. Anyone interested in participating
should contact Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski.
13. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, picked up the Coats for Kids from Corey Coonen
in Green Bay and delivered them to the Waushara County Department. Pictures
were taken and should appear in the new edition of the Waushara Argus.
14. A Motion was made and approved to donate $200 for the St. Joseph’s
Thanksgiving dinners being made available on Thanksgiving Day.
15. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, shared a thank you note from the Seminarian that
the Council is sponsoring. A discussion was held about sponsoring a second
Seminarian, but no decision was reached.
16. An email will be sent soon regarding having a Council Christmas party in early
January. The purpose of the email is to see how much interest there is in having
a Council party.
17. The Fourth Degree Newsletter has just gone out announcing the annual Holiday
Party to be held at the Nauti Turtle Restaurant in Fremont, WI on Thursday,
November 9. All interested Fourth Degree members need to respond ASAP to
the Newsletter.
18. Don Maes discussed the possibility of having a Fish Fry next Lent. Please save
the date of March 15 for now.

19. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, discussed possible dates for the next Council
meeting and all members agreed to have the next Council meeting on Thursday,
December 14, at 6:00 PM. The Council will be providing pizza at this meeting.
23. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, announced the names on the Good of the Order.
Keith then led everyone in an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be to the Father
was said for all on the following list:
24. Thanks to Don Maes and Tom Larson for providing the delicious sandwiches and
fixings.
26. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, led the Council in a closing prayer and adjourned
the meeting at 7:03 PM.
