Objective: To expose students some main functions of data processing using MS Excel.

Instructions:

- Download A222_Assignment2.xlsx file from your online learning.

- Answer the questions based on the requirement below.
- Save your file as student number and the name (Ex. 123456_ Mohammed)
- Identical answers are not accepted. If identical answers are found, 0 mark will be given.

Requirement:

The workbook A222_Assignment2 consists of two (2) worksheets namely Part (a) and Part (b).

1. In a worksheet Part (a), please write the answer based on the comment inside the cell.

2. In a worksheet Part (b), you are required to complete it according to the following
criteria:

a) Enter your name on the header section and your matric number on the footer side.
(4 points)
b) Use absolute cell references for all related formulas and functions.
(3 points)
c) The Assignment is 10% of the overall mark. Using the formula, calculate the percentage of
the Assignment scores in cell C2. Copy the formula from cell C2 to cell C3:C21.

d) The Quiz is 30% of the overall mark. Using the formula, calculate the percentage of the Quiz
scores in cell E2. Copy the formula from cell E2 to cell E3:E21.

e) The MidSem is 20% of the overall mark. Using the formula, calculate the percentage of
MidSem scores in cell G2. Copy the formula from cell G2 to cell G3:G21.

f) The Final is 40% of the overall mark. Using the formula, calculate the percentage of the Final
scores in cell I2. Copy the formula from cell I2 to cell I3:I21.

g) Use the formula to calculate the Total score in cell J2. Copy the formula from cell J2 to cell
J3:J21.

i. Use the VLOOKUP function in cell K2 to calculate Grade based on the above category or
from the range in cells A24:B34. Copy formula from cell K2 to cell K3:K21.

ii. Use the IF and OR functions in cell L2 to calculate the Status Pass or Fail based on the
Grade in cell K2. Copy the formula from cell L2 to cell L3:L21.

i) Use the COUNTIF function in cell C24 to quantify the number of Grades in cells K2:K21
according to the Grade category. Copy the formula from cell C24 to cells C25:C34.

j) Write down the functions for making calculations below:-
a. Highest score in Final /100 in cell H23.
b. Average score in Final /100 in cell H24.
c. Number of students in cell H25.
d. Number of students who are Failed in cell H26 using COUNTIF function.
e. Number of female students who are Failed in cell H27 using COUNTIFS function.
f. Total scores of female students in Final /100 in cell H28 using SUMIF function.

and PivotChart in Sheet2.
