1) Quadrilateral PQRS has Vertices P(1,6) , Q(5,2) , R(3,-2) , S(-2,4).

If
Quadrilateral is translated 2 units right and 4 units down. What are the
Coordinates of R?
Solution

We know that when Translation occurs to any Geometric Shape, any Point on the
Shape Translate by the Given Value of Translation.
 Translation Right  X-coordinate + Translation Value
 Translation Left  X-coordinate - Translation Value
 Translation Up  Y-coordinate +Translation Value
 Translation Down  Y-coordinate -Translation Value

So the New Coordinates in our Case will be

 X-coordinate + 2
 Y-coordinate - 4

𝑷` = (𝟏 + 𝟐 , 𝟔 − 𝟒) = (𝟑 , −𝟐)
𝑸` = (𝟓 + 𝟐 , 𝟐 − 𝟒) = (𝟕 , −𝟐)
𝑹` = (𝟑 + 𝟐 , −𝟐 − 𝟒) = (𝟓 , −𝟔)
𝑺` = (−𝟐 + 𝟐 , 𝟒 − 𝟒) = (𝟎 , 𝟎)

The Correct Answer is 𝑹`(𝟓 , −𝟔) 𝑩

2) Which of the Following does not guarantee that the Shape is a
Parallelogram?
Solution

We know that the Properties of Parallelogram are

 Opposite Sides are Congruent. (𝑨𝑩 = 𝑫𝑪)
 Opposite Sides are Parallel. (𝑨𝑩 ∥ 𝑫𝑪)
 Opposite Angels are Congruent (D = B).
 Consecutive Angles are Supplementary (A + D = 180°).
 If one angle is Right, then all angles are Right.
 The Diagonals of a Parallelogram bisect each other.
 Each Diagonal of a Parallelogram separates it into two Congruent Triangles.

So all Choices are correct except for 𝑪

The Correct Answer is a pair of consecutive Sides are Congurent 𝑪
