FIL/MMF provided March and April month groceries to


Gram Swaraj Uttar Buniyadi Hostel (Nr. FIL Masar, Gujarat)
This hostel provides food, shelter and
education free of cost to underprivileged boys
from 8th to 10th standard.

Gram Swaraj Trust relies on donation to


support the school and hostel and had
requested FIL/MMF to provide monthly grocery
support for the hostilities, which FIL/MMF
started support from September, 2021 and
continues every month.

Through this initiative 11 children will be


provided breakfast, lunch and dinner which
would help in their growth and development.

Foundation distributing 10 SciTech Soyamate machines at Mokhada
Palghar with the collaboration of Science & Technology Park Pune
On 4th March 2022 FIL/MMF along with SciTech
Park distributed 10 Soyamilk machines at
Mokhada,, Palghar in the presence of Dr. L.D

Bhaurao Patil High School identified and
started training to the SHGs, PHC staff
Anganwadi, Balwadi and Primary school
teachers.
This lightweight and cost-effective machine can be carried from place to place and is an
efficient mode to fight against malnutrition and for income generation among women.
Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara through their Arts, Science and Commerce College, Mokhada is
supporting the implementation of this project at Palghar.

Renuka Mata Naga Ladies hostel,in Chiplun, District Ratnagiri, is a


project initiative by Rashtriy Jalakanya Samiti, which is established
for protection of religious conversions and protection of local cultures
and tribal arts in North East region of India.
25 girls in the age group of 8 to 20 years from Manipur and Nagaland are brought here in
Chiplun for their education and cultural development under this project. Rashtriy janakalyan
Samiti has requested FIL/MMF for grocery donation for this ladies hostel which has been
responded to and being supported. This project would benefit 25 girls from Nagaland and
Manipur by catering their daily dietary needs monthly.

9 girls are studying in college and


will complete their graduation next year.
16 girls are studying in school.
All girls are involved in dance, singing,
graphic, and other courses.
All girls were very delighted and expressed
their gratitude by giving thanks in a unique
way.

Kharvi Samaj Parivartan Manch in Purnagad – Ratnagiri supported


with plumbing material for a Drinking water supply scheme by Finolex
Industries and its CSR Partner Mukul Madhav Foundation.
On 5th March 2022, inauguration function of this water scheme was conducted by the hands of
Mr. Mahesh Mahp, President, Panchayat Samiti, Ratnagiri, Mr. Raviendra Samant father of Mr.
Uday Samant- Minister of Higher and Technical Education of Maharashtra State. In presence
of Mr. Sushant Patkar -Panchayat Samiti member, Mr. Khurshid lambade- Sarpanch of Purngad
Gram Panchayat, Reprentative from FIL/MMF and GP members and Purngad villagers.

Parivartan Manch Purnagad village for
financial assistance for drinking water scheme
wherein 1500 people from the fishermen
community are the benificires of this water
scheme supported by MMF/ FIL.

Reigniting support to Apang Sanstha Nigdi housing 15 differently


abled children in Pune
Finolex Industries and its CSR Partner has been
supporting 41 institutes primarily in Pune and
others PAN India with monthly grocery and
hygiene essentials supporting various
marginalized and vulnerable homes.

Apang Sanstha has been revived after covid


and has resumed since March 2022. To
commemorate the birthday of Late Shri.
Pralhad P Chhabria and to reignite our support,
on 12th March we began the monthly grocery
distribution. In addition to this the home has
been donated with electrical appliances for
illumination.

We thank Mr. Rajesh Dulugule, Mr. Shekar


Inamdar from Finolex Industries and Mr.
Jitendra Jadhav from MMF, Mr and Mrs. Bhoite
from Apand Sanstha who were present at the
distribution today.

financing options and in turn creating

FIL/MMF with the support of Hastkala Setu Yojna - Vadodara


conducted the session on Entrepreneurship Awareness Program at
Masar Village, 32 Women participated for the same.
The project coordinator of Hastkala Setu
Yojana was briefed about Hastakal Setu
Yojana and the aim of the projects i.e. the
artisans (village women) are given the
necessary training, knowledge and support to
become entrepreneurs and elevate them to
connect with the main market.

Masar Village women will submit the forms by


22nd March in the trade they are interested in.
After that Hastkala Setu Team will organize
further five days of training.

Mukul Madhav Foundation collaborated with corporate partner


Finolex Industries, FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Pune Chapter and
on ground Implementation partner The ECO Factory Foundation to
begin Agriculture Training in womens open Jail Pune
Women prisoners supported with agriculture training and livelihood opportunity at Women’s
Prison in Pune.

This project will focus on training women in agriculture skill, guide, educate and empower
women on various sustainable farming practices such as natural fertilizer making and using,
cow dung products and group activities in a Farm. This training will not only motivate women
prisoners to work in a group alongside they will learn new techniques that can help them in
future on completion of their imprisonment.

On 21st March this initiative was inaugurated in


the presence of Jail Authority, Jailer Ms
Pawar,Ms Arati Sanghvi and Ms Jethwani from
FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Pune Chapter,
Ms Kshitija from The Eco factory Foundation,
Prof. Gaikwad from Agriculture unit of
Yerawada Jail and Ms. Yasmin Shaikh and Mr
Babalu Mokale from Team MMF.

Mission Cerebral Palsy


FIL/MMF started Mission Cerebral Palsy in 2015 in Satara and expanded
services in Ratnagiri Maharashtra and Masar Gujarat.
FIL/MMF with the collaborations of Sancheti Hospital, Bharati Hospital, KEM Hospital Pune. Krishna
hospital Karad, Masar SSA we have registered 1077 children with Cerebral Palsy and established
6 rehabilitation center.

On 12th March 2022, FIL/MMF organized assessment camp in Khatav for two blocks of Satara
(Khatav and Maan). In this camp orthopedic consultation, neuro consultation, physiotherapy,
speech therapy, eye checkup and Vision assessment done.

Total 206 children with Cerebral Palsy


assessed in this camp. After assessments all
the required Referrals and further treatment
will be taken care by FIL/MMF.

FIL/MMF is in talks with local physiotherapist


and soon will start 7th Rehabilitation Centre in
Khatav.

Breakfast and food provided to all children


and parents. Parents are so happy that
FIL/MMF provided best medical expertise and
also taken care of breakfast and meal.

FIL/MMF Supporting Tribal villages in Gadchiroli with Period Positive


Holiday Homes.

Originating from the belief that menstruation


is impure, banishing menstruating women to
Period Huts/Kurma Ghars is an unhealthy
practice amongst certain tribes like the
Madias and Gonds in Gadchiroli. In 2019 Yuva
Parivartan introduced us to Gadchiroli where
we envisaged and conceptualized Period
Positive Holiday Homes – a safe haven for
women and girls during menstruation.

The purpose of this home is to empower


women by making them feel happy, healthy
and step them up to be self-reliant with skill
development activities. Other amenities such
as a small kitchenette, (kerosene stove), space
for drying, mattresses, cupboard, buckets,
mugs etc have been provided.
An appeal from tribal women in Darachi, and Gateneli village Dist. Gadchiroli district requesting
MMF to support them with Period Positive Holiday Homes on witnessing the sustainable homes
built in other 9 villages of Gadchiroli This has been further consented by Dr Rani Bang
Co-Founder of SEARCH NGO with whom we have partnered to support a program on women
and child health in 39 villages of Gadchiroli.

Total 9 Period Positive Holiday Homes were completed till now and on 21st March 2022 two new
Period Positive Holiday Homes work began in the presence of Dr. Rani Bang, Co-Director SEARCH
of SEARCH NGO and will be inaugurate by 10th June 2022.

CAREER GUIDANCE SESSION FOR STUDENTS


FIL/MMF has taken the initiative of conducting career guidance sessions for
the students of 10th at MMPS Sampalawala High School (Nr. FIL Masar).
Mr Tushar Joshi and Mr Bhavesh Joshi, FIL-Masar senior personnel took a session on the topic
‘how to prepare/appear for the board examination’ and how to apply for ‘online exams and
prepare for competitive exam’. Total 120 students from the 10th and 11th standards attended the
session. In the next two days, FIL Employees will cover topics of Career options after Arts,
Commerce and Science; also cover topics of a career in the Armed Forces, Polytechnic Course,
Vocational Courses and startup a new business.

Mr Dhariyaveer Puvar & Mr Darshan Patel (FIL Senior Personnel) took the career guidance
session for the 10th-grade students at MMPS High School. The topic of the session was Career
options after opting for the Science and Commerce stream, a total of 85 students participated
in the session and the session was very encouraging and motivating.

The topic of the session was Career Options


after Vocational or Polytechnic Courses and
Arts stream which saw the participation of
more than 85 students from the 10th standard.
The students learnt many new things from the
session and received knowledge regarding
Vocational courses. They also learnt how
vocational courses provided practical
knowledge and practice. Students enjoyed the
session and came to know about the
importance of vocational courses.

Fire and Safety training given at Shree Sagar


Vidhyalaya (Nr. FIL Masar) by Mr. Tushar Joshi,
Dy. Manager, EHS, FIL-Masar. The training was
attended by more than 300 students and staff.
They were given information on how to act in
potential disaster situations like earthquakes
or fire. They were taught the use of fire
extinguishers and how to extinguish different
kinds of fires.

that it will help these children for setting the
goals in their life through this initiative.

Healthcare
Finolex Industries and its CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation support
children with Cerebral Palsy at Snehalaya.
FIL/MMF associated with Snehalaya institute in July 2021, an NGO working in Pune for Children (65
children) with Cerebral Palsy and are supporting them with various therapies. FIL/MMF began
supporting Snehalaya institute with assessment camp with the support to Sancheti Hospital
and Bharti Hospital for orthopedic and speech assessment. During the camp 12 children were
suggested for Orthotic devices. Alongside remuneration is being supported for 3 teachers at
this institute since October 2021.

From November we started weekly speech therapy sessions twice a week on Wednesday and
Friday for 20 children’s, FIL/MMF are supporting the 9 children with orthotics device and clothes
has been given to them for their new outfits.

A special update on Sassoon General Hospital and KEM Hospital


In an attempt to modernize and improve the quality of medical treatment provided to children,
MMF set up a Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the year 2000 and a Neo-Natal Ward in the
year 2001 at KEM hospital as its first project in Healthcare.

There after many projects and initiatives have been done. Another breakthrough is when MMF
created the NICU at Sassoon General Hospital. Thereafter others departments have been
upgraded and a continuous follow up and reporting is done on a monthly basis.

• Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is an eye can help to detect sensor neural hearing
disorder caused by abnormal blood vessel loss occurring in the cochlea. It can also call
growth in the light sensitive part of the eyes attention to hearing disorders affecting the
(retina) of premature infants - Total Screening pathway to the inner ear - 479 Patients

• Endoscopy surgery - 237 Patients • Sonali ward (NICU) KEM Hospital - 1 Patient

FIL/MMF supported on 24th February, 2022, at the 6th Camp 17 children


were supported with insulin cartridges.
Mukul Madhav Foundation is supporting children with diabetes since 2016 and providing insulin
vials and supporting with blood tests to deserving patients in collaboration with KEM hospital
Pune.

1000 glucose strips have been supported to patients through Sasoon General Hospital.
To increase the support and reach MMF in collaboration with Diabetic Association of Vadodra
at Gujarat, MMF embarked to support up to 20 children with Type 1 diabetes since September
2021.

The Children were given information about


their insulin uses and abuses by Dr. Shusuil
Patel, Dialectologist and Parents/children get
new information regarding what is beneficial
to their child health and how to storage and
how to take insulin through this session.

Parents are emotionally overwhelmed and


expressed their gratitude towards FIL/MMF for
this informative session and monthly support
of Insulin Cartridges support to their children.

On occasion of International Women's Week as a gesture of women


empowerment FIL/MMF in association with BKL Walawalkar Hospital,
Dervan organized Women's wellbeing Camp 2022 from 1st March to
15th March 2022.

Finolex Industries and Its CSR Partner Mukul Madhav Foundation marked
the 5th Anniversary on 5th March 2022 of the Endoscopy Department at
Sassoon Hospital.
FIL/ MMF at the 5th Anniversary of the Endoscopy Department which was upgraded and uplifted
in Sassoon General Hospital. Procedures at this department are subsidized in order for common
man to have access and can afford the same. As on date since 2018 2000 procedures have
been conducted.

A small ceremony was conducted today in the presence of HOD of Medicine department Dr
Borse, Dr Thorat, Dr Abhijeet Karad and MMF team members.

Finolex Industries Limited and its CSR Partner Mukul Madhav Foundation ensure that each
initiative is monitored and maintained regularly. We are grateful to Sassoon and its team of
dedicated and committed doctors for dedicating their time and ensuring the upkeep of this
department.

supported Bharati Hospital with Human Milk Bank.

On 23rd Feb 2022 FIL/MMF signed an Agreement with Bharati Hospital for Human Milk Bank in the
presence of Dr. Asmita Jagtap, Executive Director, Dr. Sanjay Lalwani, Medical Director Bharati
Hospital, Mr. Pradeep Vedula, President, Sales & Marketing, Finolex Industries Limited and team
MMF.

This Human Milk Bank is inaugurate and started the service from Saturday 12th March 2022

Human milk protects premature infants from necrotizing enter colitis and from sepsis, two
devastating medical conditions. A human milk bank is a service that screens, collects,
processes and distributes human breast milk. The recipients of the breast milk are vulnerable
pre-term and sick babies and special cases where mothers are unable to supply sufficient milk
for their babies.

Objective of this initiative -


• To decrease child morbidity and mortality
• To providing human milk to infants who would
otherwise not be able to receive human milk
• To provide service which collects, screens,
processes, and dispenses by prescription
human milk donated by nursing mothers who
are not biologically related to the recipient
infant.
• To make sure that every baby receives
human milk as early as possible, especially
those who are born weak.

Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya celebrates ‘Marathi Diwas’


On the occasion of 'Marathi Day celebrations' the Marathi department of Mukul Madhav
Vidyalaya organized songs and speeches by students. Teachers gave information on the
importance of this day.

Marathi Language Day is celebrated on 27th February every year on the occasion of birthday of
eminent Marathi Spokesman Kusumagraj. It is celebrated across the Indian states of
Maharashtra and Goa with lot of enthusiasm and fervor.

Sensitizing students on Fire and safety at Mukul Madhav


Vidyalaya
Fire & Safety presentation was given to
students of Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya by Mr.
Gururaj Kushe, AGM, Fire & Safety Department of
Finolex Industries Limited.

The presentation aimed to nurture young


minds for developing safety culture among the
students. They were made aware on how to
move around safely while at school and were
also provided information on road and
electrical safety. Students were informed of
minutest details of how to get down safely from
bus/vehicle by not causing any small mishaps.
Similarly, students were sensitized on avoiding
rush at the school gate. Many other points
concerning students were covered in the
presentation which highlighted student’s safety
and good health focusing on no physical injury.

Further, students were enlightened on electrical safety, road safety and importance of ‘helmet’.
Total of 165 students of Std 7,8,9 were benefited from this presentation.

We thank Finolex Industries for providing this valuable information which will be of immense
help for our students to tackle real life emergency situations with ease.

Swami ji ushered his blessings on each one of us to upkeep


the good work.
Swami Ramdev, also known among followers as Baba Ramdev is an Indian yoga guru and
businessman, primarily known for popularizing Yoga and Ayurveda in India. Baba has been
organizing and conducting large yoga camps since 2002, broadcasting his yoga classes on
various TV channels. He is also the founder of Patanjali which is one of the fastest growing FMCG
Company.

It is our privilege at Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation to host Swami Ramdev at
our Finolex Guest house on 8th March 2022. The FIL and MMF team interacted with swami ji and
showcasing our Foundation’s philanthropic work. We also had our Yoga instructor from MMV
and our superintendent Radha Karmarkar to seek his blessings. Swami ji was amazed and
highly appreciated the phenomenal work done in our society in the very many spectrums that
we are involved in uplifting and supporting the most deserving and marginalized sections.
