SEPTEMBER 02, 2019 AT BARANGAY RIZAL MULTI-PURPOSE HALL.

RESOLUTION NO. 27-19

“RESOLUTION ENDORSING ODIONGAN WATER DISTRICT IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS WATER

SOURCE DEVELOPMENT/CONSTRUCTION OF DUGWELL AND PIPELAYING PROJECTS IN
SITIOS ILAYA AND REFUNDA IN BARANGAY RIZAL, MUNICIPALITY OF ODIONGAN, PROVINCE
OF ROMBLON, PHILIPPINES”

WHEREAS, OWD being a public utility, mandated to provide the Municipality of Odiongan with a
continuous potable, sufficient and adequate water supply is continuously finding additional and alternative water
source to ensure the public with safe and sufficient supply of potable water at all times;

WHEREAS, during the occurrence of El Nino in year 2016, the Odiongan constructed/developed a dugwell
in Sitio Ilaya, Barangay Rizal, Odiongan, Romblon to mitigate expected effects of El Nino and ensure the
continuous supply of potable and sufficient water even in time of emergencies;

WHEREAS, this El Nino 2019, low pressure to no water was experience once again by the OWD
consumers in some of the service areas of the OWD in its extreme points including Barangay Rizal, hence OWD
developed and constructed another dug well in Sitio Refunda, also in Barangay Rizal;

WHEREAS, with the development of the dug well in Sitios Ilaya and Refunda, the OWD presented its plan
of permanently utilizing and developing said source as additional/alternative water source including the construction
of pump house, powerline and necessary accessories and pipe laying of transmission pipelines and service
connections including mechanical fittings and appurtenances to cater the ever increasing demand for potable water
of the consuming public in the Municipality of Odiongan;

WHEREAS, the OWD has presented to the Barangay Council of Rizal said Water Source Development
(Dug well Construction) and Pipe laying projects in Sitios Ilaya and Refunda, Barangay Rizal during its Regular
Session held on September 2, 2019;

WHEREAS, the constituent of Barangay Rizal considered the said projects of the Odiongan Water District
and found it not only helping Odiongan Water District to become more responsive to its expanded role but more so
to providing the people of Barangay Rizal and the Municipality of Odiongan a quality and healthier community;

NOW THEREFORE PREMISES CONSIDERED on motion of Hon. Victoria C. Forio, duly seconded by
all members present, it was;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED TO ENDORSE ODIONGAN WATER DISTRICT

IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS WATER SOURCE DEVELOPMENT/CONSTRUCTION OF DUGWELL
AND PIPE LAYING PROJECTS IN SITIOS ILAYA AND REFUNDA IN BARANGAY RIZAL,
MUNICIPALITY OF ODIONGAN, PROVINCE OF ROMBLON;

RESOLVED FURTHER that Barangay Rizal interposes no objections on the implementation of the above
stated project of the Odiongan Water District in Sitios Ilaya and Refunda, Barangay Rizal, Odiongan, Romblon;
 RESOLVED FURTHERMORE that the Odiongan Water District in its utilization/development of the Ilaya
and Refunda dug well do all possible safety measures to protect the environment and avoid water pollution or any
form of pollution in the area;

RESOLVED FINALLY to let copies of this Resolution be furnished the Odiongan Water District and all
government concerned for information and ready reference.

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED this 2nd day of September 2019 at Barangay Rizal Multi-purpose Hall,
Odiongan, Romblon.
