A RESOLUTION CONCURRING THE APPOINTMENT OF MS. SHEILA DE GUZMAN

ABACCO AS SK TREASURER OF SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN OF BARANGAY
DAMORTIS, SANTO TOMAS, LA UNION
WHEREAS, pursuant to Republic Act No. 10742 (An Act Establishing Reforms in the
Sangguniang Kabataan Creating Enabling Mechanisms for Meaningful Youth
Participation in Nation-Building, and For Other Purposes), Section 13, paragraph (f),
Powers and Functions of the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson, provides that with
the concurrence of the Sangguniang Kabataan, appoint from among the members of
the Katipunan ng Kabataan a Secretary and a Treasurer;
WHEREAS, MS. SHEILA DE GUZMAN ABACCO is appointed by Sangguniang
Kabataan Chairperson DIMPLE KENNETH M. CARPIO as the Sangguniang Kabataan
Treasurer subject for concurrence of this Body;
WHEREAS, MS. SHEILA DE GUZMAN ABACCO possesses all the qualifications as
Sangguniang Kabataan Treasurer and none of the disqualifications provided under
Section 10 of RA 10742 as amended by RA No. 11768;
WHEREAS, in addition to the qualifications per Section 10 of RA 10742, the SK
Treasurer must have an educational background relating to business administration,
accountancy, finance, economics or bookkeeping;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Sangguniang Kabataan Member GINALYN
ALCANTARA, duly seconded by Sangguniang Kabataan Member QUEENTRICIA D.
NUGUID;
BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the above appointed SK
Treasurer of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Damortis, Santo Tomas, La
Union, is hereby CONCURRED;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished all offices concerned.
ADOPTED this 24th day of November, 2023.
