Aim:
To use “trim” tool in computer software for rotating the drawing.

Software Used:
Autodesk AutoCAD 2020

Theory:
Autodesk AutoCAD is the widely used computer software for developing the engineering designs.
With the help of this CAD software, we can easily design any material of any shape and size. This
designing procedure basically involves the drawing of the required material with some basic and
easy to use tools like Line, Rectangle, Circle, etc.

TRIM projects the cutting edges and the objects to be trimmed onto the XY plane of the current user
coordinate system (UCS). Note: To select cutting edges that include blocks, you can use only the
single selection, Crossing, Fence, and Select All options. Select and specify objects individually.

Procedure:
1. Click Home tab > Modify Panel > Trim.
2. Select the objects to serve as cutting edge.
3. Press Enter to proceed.
4. Click/Select the parts of drawing to trim.
5. Press Enter or Spacebar to exit.

Result:
The “trim” tool has been used to trim some part of a drawing by using computer software; Autodesk
AutoCAD 2020.
