How to Install/configure E1 Page on Standalone 9.2 ?

Introduction

This document is made to help JD Edwards Consultants to configure E1 Page on Standalone 9.2.

Steps Involved in this Installation

❖ Verify Feature Security Enabled


❖ Verify UDO ­ Action Security
❖ Verify UDO ­ View Security
❖ Create a OMW Project using Web OMW
❖ Upload the E1 Page using Web OMW
❖ Share the E1 Page
❖ Verify the E1 Page Feature
❖ Create your Own E1 Page
Verify Enable Feature Security

UDO Objects will not be available if feature security is disabled. Enable the Feature Security for E1
Page.

❖ Open application ​P00950 ​­ Security Workbench


❖ Form Exit → Feature Security

❖ Verify that E1 Page Feature Security is enabled as shown in the screenshot below (Green
Circle )

Note ​: Security Records will be stored in Table or File F00950 & F00950W which is a cache table. For
these changes to take effect you need to signout and sign back to E1 Web client.
Verify UDO ­ Action Security

UDO action security will determine whether user, role, or *PUBLIC (all users) has access to E1 page
UDO feature or not.
❖ Open application ​P00950 ​­ Security Workbench
❖ Form Exit → User Defined Object → Action
❖ Click Find

❖ Verify whether E1 Page has access to create Publish,Modify for *Public User.

Verify UDO ­ View Security

UDO View Security controls whether users have access to shared OVRs. Shared UDOs are secure by
default; other users cannot access them unless view security is in place.

❖ Verify whether E1 Page has the UDO view Security as shown in the below screenshot
Create an OMW Project using Web OMW

From 9.2 Release, OMW can be used in Web client as well. UDO Object can be managed using OMW
Web
❖ Open application ​P98220W ​­ Object Management Workbench ­ Web
❖ Click Add

❖ Select OMW Project and click OK


❖ Enter the Project Information as shown in the below screenshot, then hit the Ok button to
create the Project.

❖ Now click Find


❖ Project E1Page UDO is created and in Status 21 for Development/Programming
Upload E1 Page using OMW Web

E1 Page can be uploaded into Standalone 9.2 using OMW Web or E1 Page Manager by following these
easy steps.

❖ 9.2 Standalone Demo comes with a few readily available E1 Pages (Which will be delivered in
Status “​Pending Promote​”)
❖ You can create your Own E1 Page using E1 Page generator (that needs HTML or JAVA
Knowledge)
❖ From Update Center, you can download the E1 Page for 9.2. For Example : ​UDO_9.2_10021

❖ Extract the download file using Winzip or 7zip


E1 Page Objects included in the download are below

❖ E1P_1512210019JDE:E1PAGE: ​Maintenance Scheduler:Maintenance Scheduler


❖ E1P_1602110001JDE:E1PAGE:​ Maintenance Technician:Natural Resources Industry Content

Here we will show you how to upload the “E1P_1512210019JDE: E1PAGE : ​Maintenance
Scheduler:Maintenance Scheduler”​ E1 Page to Standalone 9.2.

❖ Click on Import
❖ Click Browse
❖ Select the “E1P_1512210019JDE”
❖ Click on Load to Import the E1 Page

❖ From Web OMW you can see our Project E1 Page is successfully uploaded to ​E1Page UDO →
Project Objects

Note ​: In order use E1 Page you must approve/share the E1 Page


Share the E1 Page

E1 Page can be approved/shared using the application ​P98220U

❖ Open application P98220U ­ Work with User Defined Objects


❖ Choose the User Defined Object Status as “​Pending Promote​”
❖ Choose the User Defined Object Type as “​EnterpriseOne Pages​”
❖ Click Find

Note ​: Here we are selecting the record Recruit to Hire (Shipped E1 page) and EnterpriseOne
(Uploaded E1 Page by following the above step)
❖ select the Record, Form Exit → Approve/Share

E1 Page “EnterpriseOne” status should be changed to “​Shared”


E​1 page Security

Now you need to apply UDO Security for the Individual E1 page object to E1 page to be enabled for
the user/role or *Public ( All users)

❖ Use the below criteria to find the E1 Page → Maintenance Scheduler

❖ Select Maintenance Scheduler and click on Row Exit → Advanced → Security

❖ Navigate to Revise View Security Tab


❖ Enter the User/Role as *PUBLIC
❖ Click on View
❖ Note ​: Red box should be changed to Green circle as shown in the below screenshot.
❖ Click OK to save the security changes

❖ Add the security for E1 Page Recruit to Hire as well


Verify the E1 Page Feature

UDO Objects will be loaded into E1 when you login. So to test our Installation/configuration you need
to sign off and sign back in to E1 Standalone Fat & Web client
Create your E1 page

You can create your Own E1 Page and add the below content into E1.

❖ Business Navigation Process Flows


❖ URL Links (e.g. www.JDEE1Tips.com )
❖ Links to Internal sites such as Employee Self Service
❖ Embedded links to BI Analytics Pages
❖ Documentation
❖ Any Rich HTML Content
❖ Embedded E1 Pages
❖ Step1 : Click on Manage Pages

❖ Step 2 : Enter the below value in E1 Page Manager

❖ Product Code : 55
❖ Description : Custom E1 Page
❖ Select Page Type : Page URL
❖ Enter page URL : http://www.jdee1tips.com/

Note ​: Refer to the below screenshot to enter the values above


Also E1 Page Generator is used to Create your OWN E1 Page ( HTML Rich content ). Use Upload HTML
Content Page Type to upload the E1 Page to E1 Standalone 9.2.
❖ Click on Verify URL

❖ You can do the Preview by clicking on View URL


❖ Click on Save Button to Save the E1 Page
❖ Enter the Name (For Example : JDEE1Tips) and Click OK

❖ Open P98220U
❖ Select the E1 Page “​JDEE1Tips​”
❖ Row Exit → Advanced → Request To Publish

Note ​: Now E1 page Status will be moved to Pending Approval. Use the Approve /Share Option to
Share the E1 page
UDO Objects will be loaded into E1 when you login. So to test our Installation/configuration you
need to sign off and sign back in to E1 Standalone Fat & Web client
