position in the Engineering and Innovation segment. It is the oldest
engineering institution in India and was founded as the College of
Civil Engineering in British India in 1847. It was renamed University
of Roorkee in 1949, and again renamed IIT Roorkee in 2001.
IITR offers 14 Undergraduate, 24 Postgraduate, and various other
PhD courses through its school and 23 departments across the

the highest international and domestic package offered during IIT

Roorkee 2023 placements stood at INR 1.06 crore per
annum and INR 1.30 crore per annum, respectively. Further, six
international offers were made on day 1 of IIT Roorkee placements
2023. Apart from this, ten students got salary package of more than
INR 80 LPA during IIT Roorkee placements 2023. Importantly,
a record of 365 offers including Preplacement Offers were made on
day 1 of IIT Roorkee placements 2023. On day two of IIT Roorkee
placements 2023, 32 recruiters participated and presented various
job roles to the students. The total number of offers stood at 500.
The top recruiters include leading companies such as Tata Steel,
Uber and Bajaj Auto.

IIT Roorkee MBA placements 2023 have been concluded with a

100% placement rate. More than 50 recruiters, including new and
legacy companies, visited the campus and made offers to 64
students. IIT Roorkee average package for MBA stood at INR 18.34
LPA and IIT Roorkee highest package stood at INR 27.94 LPA.
Most of the students were placed in the Operations, IT & Analytics
domain with an average package of INR 19.39 LPA. Some of the
top recruiters for the MBA placements were Adani, Bank of
America, Barclays, Cognizant, EXL, Deloitte, EY, Godrej, HCL, IBM,
Hero, etc.
