Great is the sun, and wide he goes
Through empty heaven with repose;

iPu
And in the blue and glowing days
More thick than rain he showers his rays.

Though closer still the blinds we pull
To keep the shady parlour cool,
Yet he will find a chink or two

e
To slip his golden fingers through.
The dusty attic spider-clad
He, through the keyhole, maketh glad;

D
And through the broken edge of tiles
Into the laddered hay-loft smiles.

n Meantime his golden face around

He bares to all the garden ground,

r And sheds a warm and glittering look

Among the ivy's inmost nook.
Above the hills, along the blue,

de Round the bright air with footing true,

To please the child, to paint the rose,

The gardener of the World, he goes.

A Word for Parents

Vacations give a chance to break from routine and rejuvenate ourselves so

that we may embark on the journey to achieve the required learning outcomes.
These holidays are meant for enriching the experience by exploring the world
around us as experience teaches us more than the books. The students are also
eagerly waiting for the holidays as they want some time away from the
academics. It is also a time to hone the skills wherein the students are interested
and cannot pursue due to paucity of time.

Having said this, it is important to assert that if the students remain out
of touch with academics for such a long period of 30 days, there is every
possibility that they will lose grip on the learning done in pre-summer break
period. Besides, there are some learners who are more inclined towards
academics and want to properly use their vacations in accomplishing all
those tasks which possibly could not be done amidst the routine schedule.

We, as educators, always aim at making the learners feel at ease and yet
getting the work done out of them by employing strategies which would
benefit all. Keeping in mind the school faculty has prepared class-wise
Summer Assignment for students which will help them revise the concepts
done in class and also give them opportunity to recapitulate their learning.

Wish you a very Happy holidays!!
