Symbolein Technologies Pvt Ltd is an innovative new generation technology company based out of Bangalore. Since
its inception in 2009 the company has been working on some path breaking technologies to create some first of its
kind of products targeting the global markets.

Symbolein is credited with developing the world’s first ever full Colour Inkjet Mobile Printer based on the frontend
patented technology of our technology partner; the Swedish PrintDreams International AB, generating few IP’s in its
name. The unique technology known as RMPT allows the design of printer devices without paper feeding
mechanisms. The wireless device is controlled by natural (random) hand-movements across the surface to be
printed. The optical navigation system along with advanced real time algorithms keeps track of the position of the
device in relation to the image to be printed.

Founded by a team of senior technocrats and businessmen Symbolein has also been credited with developing a
mobile scanning technology platform ready to be embedded in to the future generation of the Printers.

Besides the hard core R & D based technology product development, the company now operates in one more
vertical by leveraging its core strengths of technical and management expertise.

Symbolein made an entry to entertainment industry by acquiring competencies in setting up outdoor entertainment
projects like Son et Lumiere shows. The company brought in a team of technical experts and added a team of
brilliant creative minds to strengthen its team. In the year 2016 Symbolein tied up with global agency from Europe to
explore new innovative designs for outdoor shows, primarily permanent in nature.

1. Entertainment & Media Projects.

The media and entertainment industry in India consists of many different segments under its folds such as television,
print, and films. It also includes segments like radio, music, outdoor entertainment, animation, gaming and visual
effects (VFX) and Internet advertising. Entertainment industry in India has registered an explosive growth in last two
decades making it one of the fastest growing industries in India. The industry is expected to grow steadily over the
next five years. The industry revenues are likely to exceed US$ 32.7 billion by 2019 from US$ 17.0 billion in 2014,
growing at compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.0 per cent between 2015 and 2020, according to data
available from KPMG.

India is emerging a big market for outdoor family entertainment and amusement sector. The demand for commercial
recreation parks, live shows, permanent installations that provide families the opportunity to recreate in a clean,
wholesome, and non-threatening environment is strong and growing.

Entertainment and Amusement sector in India is expected to grow many fold in terms on both number of projects and
total investment. Number of entertainment & Amusement parks in India is growing with fast pace and a large number
of new parks in this category are expected to be built all over India in near future. Many Foreign companies have also
reportedly taken interest in the Indian amusement parks market.

And the critical success factor in entertainment industry depends on creative content and delivery of it through

Symbolein made its entry in to the segment in the year 2014 by picking up a project for setting up SeL (Sonnet
Lumiere) show for the Government of Kerala, India. The company has adopted a complete new approach in this
space of outdoor entertainment by leveraging its technical strength and combining it with completely new creative
approach specifically targeted to deliver immersive content to the Audience including the millennials.

The company is in the process of finalising few more prestigious projects in world renowned historical locations in
India. Symbolein applies its technical strength into designing the whole system and integrating them for such outdoor
entertainment extravaganzas. Company has recently entered in to technical tie up with a global leader in DOOH
(Digital out Of Home Media) to bring in new technological innovations in outdoor entertainment. Besides this
company has plans to look at global cinema market using similar tactics to deliver India-specific content through films
using Digital Marketing and Social Media platforms.

Market Potential of SeL Shows in India.

Indian tourism department has recently sent a circular to various state Governments asking them to submit basic
information about the possibility of setting up night entertainment outdoor shows (such a SeL) at historically/ culturally
important places in each state.

There are more than 150 locations identified so far for setting up SeL shows by various states under the scheme.
This is besides other such locations under the state governments like palaces and museums. Shows that are
happening currently in India lacks both technical and creative punch and is not appreciated by audience. Symbolein
targets to fill this gap by bringing in technological and creative innovations.

Tourism Industry in India

There are various definitions of tourism, the word "tour" is derived from the Latin 'tornare' and the
Greek 'tornos,' meaning 'a circle; the movement around a central point or axis.' The suffix -ism is defined as 'an
action or process. When the word tour and the suffixes -ism are combined, they suggest the action of movement
around a circle. One can argue that a circle represents a starting point, which ultimately returns back to its beginning.
Therefore, like a circle, a tour represents a journey that is a round trip, i.e., the act of leaving and then returning to the
original starting point, and therefore, one who takes such a journey can be called a tourist.

Over the decades, tourism has experienced continuous growth and diversification to become one of the fastest

Scope for Improvement

Symbolein Designed New Age Hybrid Sound & Light Show Project at
Kannur, Kerala.
St. Angelo’s Fort is situated at Kannur, in the State of Kerala. The 500 year old fort constructed by the Portuguese is
the first European Fort in India. The fort revealed in an interesting and exciting manner involving the spectators by
touching their emotions. The show set up at the fort involves the usage of multiple equipments like multimedia and
laser projectors, special effects equipments, impact creating LED lighting and an 8 track surround sound system.

The 55 minutes show, the first of its kind in the State brings in a completely new creative approach.

2. Technology & Product Development Projects.

Symbolein jointly owns Intellectual Property Rights for Random Movement Printing Technology with Printdreams
International Ltd. This technology enables a handheld device with an Inkjet printing unit to print on several surfaces
by random movement of user’s hand in which the printer is held. Printdreams has successfully productized the
version that can print a single line of text and images on paper and various other surfaces. We also have jointly
developed a few prototypes that can print multiple swaths to create a larger image or print multiple lines of text.

Symbolein and Printdreams have plans to develop a security printing product using RMPT-Lite technology that limits
the printing to a single short line.

Security Printer
We live in a world in which counterfeiting, plagiarism and piracy are on the increase. A world in which products are
unlawfully imitated, trademarks and designs are infringed, copyright is violated and music is downloaded illegally.
Intellectual Property rights are infringed in more and more territories worldwide. The need for brand protection and
anti-counterfeiting has therefore never been as urgent as it is now.

Counterfeit products are flooding the market

Concern about piracy and counterfeiting is growing. Research by the European Commission shows that more than
100 million counterfeit products are seized every year in the EU alone. A significant portion of the counterfeit
products come from China (64%), but other countries like the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) and
Taiwan are also creating unprecedented flows of counterfeit products. Counterfeit products are flooding the markets
and also stimulate unwanted parallel imports, not only harming businesses but also consumers.

According to FBI, Interpol, World Customs Organization and International Chamber of Commerce estimates, roughly
7-8% of world trade every year is in counterfeit goods. That is the equivalent of as much as $512 billion in global lost
sales. Of that amount, U.S. companies lose between $200 billion and $250 billion. IP theft has a major impact at
home, too: according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, in fiscal year 2010, nearly 20,000 seizures of
counterfeit and pirated goods with a total domestic value of $188.1 million and a manufacturer’s suggested retail
price of $1.4 billion were intercepted before entering the United States. The total domestic value of counterfeit
products seized presenting potential safety or security risks seized was $42 million.

Which sectors are most affected? IP theft poses a risk to all industry sectors; those most commonly affected by IP
theft are manufacturing, consumer goods, technology, software, and biotechnology, including pharmaceuticals.

Security Printer to Fight Counterfeiting

The security printer proposes to block counterfeiting of important documents. It utilizes the “finger print” of a paper,
which is it’s microstructure that is visible through magnification. Several researches have established that the
microstructure is unique for every piece of paper, just like human finger prints.

Printdreams has developed an optical device called “Optonav” to view this microstructure through magnification.
Symbolein has developed a technology to analyze the microstructure and encode it into a unique code. The Security
Printer consists of Optonav module, Encoder and an RMPT-Lite printer.

When the user keeps the device on a paper that has to be security stamped, the device reads the microstructure at
that area and encodes it. This unique code is created and passed on to the RMPT-Lite printing engine. When the
user moves the printer on the paper surface by a horizontal hand movement, the security code get printed on the
paper in a proprietary 2D Bar Code format.

Verification device is a simple device that has an Optonav module and a decoding engine. When the user keeps it
on the security printed area, the device reads the microstructure, encodes it and compares with the printed security
code for a match.

This product has immense potential for authorizing important documents in both Government & Corporate sectors
like Business Agreements/Contracts, Government Documents and Personal Identification documents.
