Norwegian Cruise Line to Invest in Solo Travelers

Growing demand in solo travel, results in a variety of experiences for guests

[MIAMI] - Norwegian Cruise Line is now adding close to 1,000 solo room accommodations for
individual travelers. Beginning this week, sales for solo rooms on select ships opened for reservations.
The three different cabin types - Solo Inside, Solo Oceanview and Solo Balcony - will be widely available
to book on a rolling basis after Jan. 2, 2024. Solo cabins have been available on select ships for a few
years but Norwegian Cruise Line is just now expanding the option onto different ships. These
accommodations are in response to a sparked interest in solo traveling.

“We strive to provide our guests with diverse offerings to create their dream vacation. Since we first
launched our solo staterooms in 2010 with Norwegian Epic, they have been quite popular with single
travelers,” says Norwegian Cruise Line president, David J. Herrera. “We are continuously listening to our
guests to deliver the experience they want.”

At this time, the price of these individual rooms are dependent on location and demand of the cruises.
However, Norwegian Cruise Line has marketed their single room prices to be less than a traditional
double occupancy room. Through this change expansion, Norwegian Cruise Lines hopes that customers
will appreciate the changes and will return with family and friends or on their own.
