The Constitution of Papua New Guinea is indeed a living document. Since it became
effective on 16th September 1975, it has been amended 46 times. The following is the List of
Amendments1 to date. 44 of the Amendments have been formalized and the latest 2 are in
the process of being formalized. The 2022 version of the PNG Constitution includes the
first 44 Amendments.
