Head:
Round 1: 10 single crochet in a double loop start. I this manner you will avoid to have a hole at the tip of
the head.
Round 2: Increase of 12 stitches from the previous row (total 22 stitches in this row).
Rounds 3-8: Increase of 6 stitches from the previous row (up to 64 stitches in this row).
Rounds 9-15: Single crochet in each stitches (64 stitches).
Round 16: Decrease of 6 stitches from the previous row (58 stitches).
Round 17: Single crochet in each Stitch (58 stitches).
Round 18: Decrease of 6 stitches from the previous row (52 stitches).
Round 19: Single crochet in each Stitch (52 stitches).
Round 20: Decrease of 6 stitches from the previous row (46 stitches).
Round 21: Decrease of 6 stitches from the previous row (40 stitches).
Round 22: Decrease of 6 stitches from the previous row (34 stitches).
Round 23: Decrease of 6 stitches from the previous row (28 stitches).
Round 24: Decrease of 4 stitches from the previous row (24 stitches).
Fasten off.
Stuff head giving an oval shape, attach felt eyes and nose and sew lines on the face in black. Sew to body.
Body:
In Yellow
Round 1: 6 single crochet in a double loop start. I this manner you will avoid to have a hole at the tip of the
head.
Round 2: Increase every stitches (total 12 stitches in this row).
Round 3: Increase every other stitch (total 18 stitches in this row).
Round 4: Increase every 2 stitches (total 24 stitches in this row).
Round 5: Increase every 3 stitches (30 stitches).
Round 6: Increase every 4 stitches (36 stitches).
Round 7: Increase every 5 stitches (42 stitches).
Round 8: Increase every 6 stitches (48 stitches).
In black (10-12 rows)
Round 9-12: Single crochet in each stitch (48 stitches)
In yellow
Round 13: Decrease of 6 stitches from the previous row (42 stitches).
In black
Round 14-16: Single crochet in each stitch (42 stitches)
In yellow
Round 17: Decrease of 5 stitches from the previous row (36 stitches).
Round 18: Single crochet in each stitch (36 stitches)
Round 19: Decrease of 4 stitches from the previous row (30 stitches).
Round 20: Single crochet in each stitch (30 stitches)
Round 21: Decrease every 3 stitches (24 stitches).
Round 22: Single crochet in each stitch (24 stitches)
Fasten off.
Stuff tail lightly, insert some stainless wire for giving the shape at the body, sew to the side of the head.
Tail:
Round 1: 6 single crochet in a double loop start. I this manner you will avoid to have a hole at the tip of
the head.
Round 2: Increase every stitch from the previous row (12 stitches)
Rounds 3-5: Single crochet in each stitch (12 stitches).
Fasten off.
Stuff tail lightly, sew to back to body.
Ears:
Round 1: 6 single crochet in a double loop start. I this manner you will avoid to have a hole at the tip
of the head.
Round 2: Increase every other stitches from the previous row (9 stitches)
Round 3: Increase every 3 stitches from the previous row (12 stitches)
Round 4: Increase every 4 stitches fro the previous row (15 stitches)
Round 5: Increase every 5 stitches fro the previous row (18 stitches)
Round 6: Increase every 6 stitches fro the previous row (21 stitches)
Flower:
In yellow
Round 1: 10 single crochet in a double loop start. I this manner you will avoid to have a hole at the tip
of the head.
In red:
Round 2: 30 single crochet attached every 6 stitches to the yellow part as indicated in the picture.
Finishing:
Glue or embroider beads in eye position, felt mouth and nose. Put bug and flower on the head and
wings on the body…Enjoy!
