1. The shopkeeper sold two video games for Rs 990 each. On one he gained 10% and on the

other he lost 10%. Find his over all gain or loss percent.

2. If C.P. of 30 tables is same as S.P. of 25 tables, find the gain or loss percent.

3. A shopkeeper bought 50 dozen toffees at Rs 8 a dozen. Out of these, 20 toffees were

either without a wrapper or were spoiled. He sold the remaining toffees at Rs 0.80 per

toffee. Find his gain or loss percent.

4. A dealer sold a washing machine for Rs 18,000 at a loss of 10%. At what price should he

have sold it to gain 10%.

5. By selling a chair for Rs 2400, a dealer gained one-fifth of its cost price. Find the cost price

of the chair.

6. By selling 288 pens, a shopkeeper lost the selling price of 12 pens. Find his loss percent.

7. A dealer purchased 250 bulbs for Rs 10 each. However, 12 bulbs got fused which her had

to throw away. He sold the remaining bulbs at Rs 12 each. Find his gain or loss percent in

the transaction.

8. A vendor bought toffees at 6 for a rupee. How many for a rupee must he sell to gain 20%.
