It is widely believed that music is able to make close relationships between

people who are from different backgrounds. In my opinion, I agree with this
statement because people who have the same interests are likely to appreciate
it together. However, I also believe that some people might be far away
because they have different understanding in music.

Music is a powerful tool to make people closer when they first meet. That is
because it is helpful to create a relaxed and peaceful circumstance, making
people calm down and have a good mood to communicate. Additionally, when
going to a musical restaurant with a romantic atmosphere, most people are
willing to share their interesting experience, as well as talk about their favourite
singers or musicians. With this intensive and deep communication, people are
likely to have a good impression with each other and might have a closer
relationship after that.

However, sometimes music might separate people because they hold different
opinions to a song or singer. That is because people from different
backgrounds are possible to have different realizations to a same thing. For
example, if I share my favourite song to a new friend, but have no good
feedback or even receive a bad comment. I will consider him is not appreciate
and concerned about my interests, making us far away from each other.
Furthermore, it is not hard to see some fans debate seriously just because they
have different idols.

In conclusion, it is true that music can make people closer when they have the
same preferences. But it can not ignore the fact that people may not have
farther relations just because they have different beliefs on music.
