DATE Q1. Do as directed- C.W.
To convert larger
a) Convert 23 kg to g- units to smaller
1 kg = 1,000 g units, we multiply
So, 23 kg = 23 x 1,000
= 23,000 g
Hence, 23 kg = 23,000 g
C.W.
To convert
b) Convert 500 cm to dm- smaller units to
larger units, we
1 dm = 10 cm
divide
So, 500 cm = 500 ÷ 10
= 50 dm

Hence, 500 cm = 50 dm
C.W.
When we
c) Convert 8.75 l to ml- multiply, the
decimal moves
1 l = 1,000 ml
towards the right.
So, 8.75 l = 8.75 x 1,000
= 8,750 ml
Hence, 8.75 l = 8,750 ml
C.W.
When we divide,
d) Convert 44 cm to m- the decimal
1 m = 100 cm moves towards
the left.
So, 44 cm = 44 ÷ 100
𝟒𝟒
= = 0.44 m
𝟏𝟎𝟎
Hence, 44 cm = 0.44 m
C.W.
e) Convert 14708 dag to kg-
1 kg = 100 dag

= 147.08 kg

Hence, 14,708 dag = 147.08 kg
