Classifications of the Different Kinds of Angles

I. Learning Competency with code:

Classifies the different kinds of angles (M7GE-IIIa-3)

II. Background Information for the Learners:
As you go through this topic, you are expected to Classifies the different
kinds of angles. Before its classifications, let’s have an information about angle.
An angle is a union of two non-collinear rays with common endpoint (called
vertex). It is measured through the use of protractor.

Angles are classified into six, these are the following:

a) Acute angle - c) Obtuse angle - e) Reflex angle-

Measures less than 90°, Measures more than Measures more than
but greater than 0° 90°, but less than 180° 180°, but lesser than 360°

b) Right angle -
Measures exactly 90° d) Straight angle- f) Complete angle-
Measures exactly 180° Measures exactly 360°

III. Directions: This activity sheet contains activities that you are going to perform
by your own based on your understanding from the above illustrations about the
different classifications of angles.

IV. Activity Proper:

Activity 1:
In this activity, you are asked to answer two questions. First is to classify each
angle according to its opening, write: acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex, or
complete on the space provided for angle. Second is to give the approximate
measurement of the opening of the angle and write it on the space provided for.

Example: Angle: Acute Measurement: 20°

6. Angle: ___________ measurement: ____
Activity II:

In this activity, you are asked to apply the different classifications of angles in
writing your name, then classify them by labeling the angle formed.

Example:

Acute

Acute Right Obtuse

Activity 111: Bingo Game

This activity will be played like playing Bingo. The contents to be drawn are the
different kinds of angles. You can use small buttons as chips. Or just put a check
to the corresponding box whose classification of angles are drawn.
