Attention: Your Excellency Most Reverend Joel Zamudio Baylon,

D.D.

Through: Very Reverend Crispin C. Bernarte Jr.

Vicar General for Administration

Subject: Proposal to Establish Bascaran Quasi-Parish

Greetings of Peace!

We are pleased to inform Your Excellency, Most Reverend Joel Z. Baylon, D.D., that upon
completion of the study and history of Bascaran Church, under Our Lady of The Gate Parish,
it is now ready to be converted into a Quasi-Parish.

Composed of Nine Barangays, Bascaran, Talahib, Burgos, Mabini, Kinawitan, Alobo, Inarado,
Gapo and Tabon-Tabon, its total population reaches 16,053 as per 2020 Census conducted
by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Majority of the population are Roman Catholic.

The proposal has been met positively by the residents, and are eager and excited for the
approval to become a Quasi-Parish. A recent study has been submitted to meet the
requirements of the Diocese, including the proposal for having its own Catholic Cemetery.

Having the Bascaran Quasi-Parish would mean extensive coverage in the attainment of the
objective of the Diocese in spreading the Faith, having holy sacraments more available and
closer to the residents of the member barangays.

As the assigned Mission Priest, our advance sincerest thanks for the kindest consideration
and approval of our request.

Amazing grace will see us through, Christ has Risen!
