It’s often believed that a school’s facilities like the library, classroom, and

sporting center, etc are extremely important for children to learn well, and
therefore most of the school’s budget should be spent on them. Although
there are some drawbacks of spending too much money on school facilities,
overall I think it’s a good idea to do so.
On the one hand, spending most of the school’s budget on facilities isn’t a
good choice. For students to learn well, improving school facilities is not
enough. Instead, school managers should also spend the money on
improving the teaching quality, since the teaching method has a huge effect
on the student’s learning. A notable example of this is that some students in
remote areas still learn well and success despite the poor facilities in their
schools.
On the other hand, school facilities might make a great improvement in the
learning, which is worth spending money on. With good facilities, students
will have a good environment to learn and develop their full potential. For
example, with good libraries, they can get more knowledge and fun from
reading their favorite books, with good classrooms, students may have more
interest in learning, and with good sporting centers, students can keep fit
and stay healthy by playing sports there.
In general, I think spending part of the school budget on facilities is a good
idea, but school managers should keep its balance with other things.
