Sample Spray Painting Methods:

1. Choosing the Right Sprayer:

 Airless Sprayers: High pressure, ideal for large projects or thick paints.
 HVLP Sprayers: Lower pressure, good for detailed work or thin paints.
 Gravity Feed Sprayers: Paint is stored above the gun, providing better control.
 Suction Feed Sprayers: Paint is stored below the gun, easier to clean.

2. Surface Preparation:

 Clean and dry the surface to remove dirt, grease, and dust.
 Sand rough surfaces to create a smooth finish.
 Apply primer when necessary to enhance adhesion and coverage.
 Mask off any areas you don't want painted.

3. Spraying Technique:

 Hold the spray gun 6-8 inches from the surface.

 Maintain a consistent speed and overlap each stroke by 50%.
 Use long, smooth strokes for even coverage.
 Apply multiple thin coats instead of one thick coat to avoid drips and runs.
 Back-brush with a brush to smooth out any drips or uneven areas.

4. Spray Tips for Different Applications:

 Painting Walls: Use a wide spray pattern and work from top to bottom.
 Painting Trim: Use a narrow spray pattern and hold the gun closer to the surface.
 Painting Furniture: Use a light touch and avoid overspray.
 Spraying Stencils: Secure the stencil firmly and apply light, even coats.

5. Safety Precautions:

 Wear a respirator mask and protective clothing to avoid inhaling paint fumes.
 Work in a well-ventilated area.
 Cover exposed skin and eyes.
 Use caution when working with ladders or scaffolding.
