BMA504: COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN - III

Credits: 3
LTP 300
Course Introduction: The course of Computer Aided Design – III aims to provide the students
concepts of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing for the drafting and detailing, visual realism of
the designed parts and animations of the various working assemblies. This course also includes concepts
of reverse engineering and its integration with the other technologies.
Course Outcomes: After the successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
CO1: Correctly identify and apply GD&T practices to parts and drawings and apply suitable tolerances
to mating parts and features, to ensure assembly fit and functionality.
CO2: Render the various parts under design to check for the real environment
CO3: Animate the various working assemblies to check for interferences between different parts.
CO4: Generate the point cloud data for the existing part and then converting it into 3D models and
applying the various post processing techniques for noise reduction.
