To: The Vice-Chancellor of University of Buea

Sir,

An Application for Recruitment as an Assistant Lecturer at the College Of Technology, University

of Buea.
It’s with great honour and respect that I submit my request under your hierarchy. I wish to make known my
interest in your institution College Of Technology, University of Buea as an Assistant Lecturer in the
Department of Renewable Energy.
Indeed, I hold a doctorate / Ph.D. in Physics, specialty: Electronics, Electrotechnics and Automation
(EEA), option: Electrical and Electronic Systems, at the University of Yaoundé 1. I equally have a
DIPET II in Electronics from the Higher Technical Teachers’ Training College (H.T.T.T.C) Kumba
2017. Moreover, my thesis research focused on “Pulse and multi-pulse structures in femtosecond laser
micromachining with multi-photon scattering and plasma avalanche”, the objective have been to develop a
mathematical models which can enhance our understanding in the possibility and control of the optical
properties of materials in general that can be used in femtosecond technology. The generation of ultrashort
light pulses can be used for multiple applications such as; industrial manufacturing, information and
communication technologies, environmental technologies and life sciences (medicine, biology, process
control, etc). My work has resulted in many articles published in outstanding international peer-reviewed
journals.
My current work focuses on the study of laser dynamics in inscription processes involving transparent media
in the case where the material has a relatively stronger nonlinearity. This is the case for example of rare earths
doped silica glass materials. These latter materials are now widely exploited in the microelectronics industry
where they are used in the manufacture of optical chips and optical storage devices. My collaborators and I,
thanks to our recent work which will be published, deals with the possibility of Semiconductors with strong
non-linearity for couples mode-locked lasers in the dynamics of femtosecond lasers leading to the formation
of quantum dot in transparent materials. It is noted that the impact of our work will be able to promote the
growth of this University of Buea in terms of research and in view of its importance and impact in the
scientific community.
In addition, I also had the privilege of teaching and contributing to the supervision of professional Bachelor
and Master students thesis at the Saint Jean University Institute, HITBAMAS, University of Yaoundé 1,
etc.. I am currently a temporary teacher at the Saint Jean Institute and an HIBAMAS where I teach circuit
analysis, Energy systems, power electronics, solar energy control systems, analogue and digital electronics,
mechatronics, telecommunication and many more. Putting my experience at your services, and that of the
students in the Department of Renewable Energy, can be of great importance in the development of your
Institution. Thus, I remain confident that my ability to communicate clearly in English and French, and can
transmit knowledge effortlessly will undoubtedly be an asset to your illustrious University.
Pending a favourable reaction to my request, please accept, Mr. Vice-Chancellor, my deep respect.

Yours’ Faithfully
