CÜMLE TÜRLERİ
1 Basit (simple sentence) cümleler sadece Özne + Fiil + (Nesne) / S V (O)
unsurlarından oluşur. Basit cümleler genellikle kısa olur.

Bu bağlaçlar bir olayın nedenini anlatmak için kullanılır. En önemli
bağlaçlar since, because, as kullanım ve anlam olarak aynıdır.
İçin, -dığından dolayı anlamına gelen bu yapıları cümle ortasında
geldiklerinde çünkü diye çevirmek daha mantıklı olacaktır.

ADVERBIAL CLAUSES OF RESULT (SONUÇ)

So + adj / adv that SVO & such (a / an) adj + noun that
SVO bu iki yapı neden-sonuç ilişkisini birbirine bağlamak için
kullanılır. So ve such’tan sonra sebep, that SVO ile sonuç kısmı
anlatılmış olur. İkisi de ‘o kadar … ki’ şeklinde çevrilebilir.
Anlamları aynı olan bu yapılar formülleri bakımından farklılık
göstermektedir.

Manner ‘tavır, tutum’ anlamına gelmektedir. Buradaki
yapılar bir eylemin nasıl yapıldığını anlatır. Ya da benzerlik
vermek için kullanılır.
Şimdi as, just as…(so)..., as if / as though yapılarını
tek tek inceleyelim.
JUST AS: (-dığı gibi)
Taban tabana zıtlık bağlaçlarında görmüş olduğumuz whereas’in

tam tersi gibi de düşünebileceğimiz just as bir benzetme bağlacı
olarak kullanılır. X ve Y yi zıtlığı bakımından kıyaslarsak (difference /
contrast) whereas / while, benzerliği bakımından kıyaslarsak (similarity
/ compare) just as yapısını kullanırız. ‘Tıpkı, -dığı gibi’ anlamına gelir.
Bu kalıbın devamında opsiyonel olarak so da kullanılabilir. ‘Tıpkı onun
