ABSTRACT
PURPOSE
This study aimed to determine the effects of Inside – Outside Circle Strategy in the
teaching – learning process at San Vicente National High School as innovation.
FINDINGS
The use of Inside – Outside Circle Strategy promoted learners participation, increased
students’ self-esteem and confidence, made learning more enjoyable, maintained classroom
interaction , enhanced students’ communication skills and critical thinking skills, students
became more accountable and actively involved.
The teacher’s perceived challenges were the following: time constraints to finish the
topic, managing large class, preparation of instructional and learning materials.
RESEARCH LIMITATIONS
The study was conducted from June 2016 to March 2017, at San Vicente National High
School. The respondents were 9 teachers who used Inside – Outside Circle Strategy in teaching
and 50 students from different levels.
ORIGINALITY/VALUE
This is a holistic research which will encourage the teachers and the school head of
San Vicente National High School and other school of San Pablo City to use this innovative
strategy, the Inside – Outside Circle Strategy, in the teaching – learning process.
