Lesson Plan-Spelling review

Time Frame: Wednesday 12:40-1:20

Lesson title: Spelling review
Objectives: Students will be able to: IFL:
 Improve the accuracy of word spelling. But everything should be done in a fitting and

Strategies: Assessment:
Whole class, PPT presentation, Activity. Students can write down the words, spell the words
correctly, and create a story by using words.

Procedures and Activities:

 Students dance Peter Piper together, and through the dance help the students interact with each other
and prepare themselves to start the lesson. (2-3 minutes)
 Interact briefly with students to learn a few words of Chinese. (3-5 minutes)
 Ask students to get their spelling folders for reviewing words from week 1 to week 4. Give the
students about 3 minutes to review the words, after that, the teacher dictates 20 words and asks the
students to check the words they have written through the PPT. (12-15 minutes)
 Have students review the words from week 5 to week 6, ask them to pass something and teacher
play background music for them, when the music stop, ask the student holding the object to spell the
word.(5 minutes)
 Ask students to find 7 words from week 7 to week 8 that they are least familiar with and then create
a short story using those five words.(10 minutes)
(If students finish quickly, ask them to read their stories to their classmates.)
