INTRODUCTION
The Buri Midrib Splitter and Stripper Machine is designed to automate the midrib
stripping and splitting process for basket weavers in Antequera, Bohol. Basket weaving
is an essential part of the local economy and culture, but the manual process of
stripping and splitting buri midribs can be labor-intensive and time-consuming. This
machine aims to alleviate these difficulties by efficiently stripping and splitting midribs,
resulting in a higher yield of usable materials for the weavers. The machine will be
needs of individual weavers. The machine's automation technology will help improve the
efficiency and productivity of the basket weaving process by reducing the time and labor
The primary function of the Buri Midrib Splitter and Stripper Machine is to split
and strip buri midribs. The machine uses a mechanism that cuts through the midribs
and separates them into thinner strips. These strips can then be used for weaving
baskets, which saves time and effort compared to manually stripping the midribs.
Overall, the Buri Midrib Splitter and Stripper Machine is a valuable tool that streamlines
the process of buri midrib preparation and enhances the productivity of basket weavers
in Antequera, Bohol.
