Why do you choose this topic/importance/want to find out?

- We as a group unanimously, observed that in the global lens, there has been a demand
in the profession of healthcare, particularly nurses. Thus, there has been an increase in
the number of applicants and qualified applicants for the school of nursing.
- By acknowledging the influx of amount of nursing students there is a demand for more
clinical instructors to teach and guide these students into becoming effective professionals
in providing quality health care.
- We want to figure out if there is a relevance in needing previous nursing experience among
instructors in nursing schools and if previous nursing experience can have an influence on
their quality of teaching.
- MAIN IDEA: MORE NURSING STUDENTS = MORE CIs needed thus we want to know if
naay relevance and previous nursing experience to the quality of teaching.

Why did you choose these participants?

- We have carefully chosen this group as our participants because we've recognized the
opportunity to assess and enhance the quality of teaching and assess if there is a
relevance of having previous nursing practice to their present quality of teaching. Thus,
this study aims to take into account valuable insights into the enhancement of teaching
methods and promotion of professional growth within the domain of nursing education
and the program. Lastly, the study is aiming to elevate it to the next level
o (WHAT WE MEANT BY THIS IS WE ARE NOT IMPLYING THAT THERE IS
DEFICIENCIES WITHIN THE INSTITUTION’S PROGRAM NOR THE CIs QUALITY OF
TEACHING - HOWEVER, WHAT WE MEANT BY THIS IS THAT THE LONG-TERM
GOAL THAT THIS STUDY CAN RENDER IS THAT IT CAN PUSH THE PROGRAM
LEVEL FROM A LEVEL II PAASCU ACCREDITED TO MAYBE A CHED
CENTER OF DEVELOPMENT/EXCELLENCE.)

Why did you choose the research locale/ environment?

- We chose this environment to conduct our study since this institution is where we currently
developing our studies. We are the ones who are primarily affected by the quality of
teaching. By being able to further increase the level or elevate the quality of teaching, we
the students can also elevate and improve the level of our learning. THUS, WE ARE
INCLUDED IN THE PRIMARY POPULATION THAT WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS STUDY.

How are you conducting your research?

- We will be conducting our research by administering f2f questionnaire. But first, we will
ask for consent and permission from the dean and take into consideration the ethical
considerations for our study to be acceptable and also follow the standard operating
procedures of the institution.
Why did you choose this particular title for your research?

- We chose this title for our research study since we chose to focus on the relevance of
previous nursing experiences to the present quality of teaching among the CIs. This study
is a quantitative study and not a qualitative study since we are able to find a fitting
standard questionnaire that can be useful for the study. In addition, we have revamped
our approved title to cater for a more diverse yet still specific population and, thus we
adjusted the parameters of the study for a more feasible study.

Who will be most interested in your research?

- Nursing schools, institutions, and other institutions related to nursing and can benefit from
the nursing practice.

What gaps did you intend to bridge with your research?

- The gaps we intended to bridge are the following:


o Bridge the gap between the high demand for qualified instructors and the high
number of students
o Bridge the gap to the classroom and theoretical learning to the practical world of
nursing and being able to render quality care.
o Bridge the gap if there is a need for previous nursing practice prior to entering
academic nursing.

What are the dependent and independent variables in your research?

- In our study we established the ff variables:


o Independent: Previous Nursing Practice
o Dependent: Quality of Teaching

What is the strongest point in your research?

- The strongest point in our research is that it is a fact that there is a demand for more
nursing faculty members and that it is proven by studies that there has been a transition
among nurses from nursing practice to academe.
