Data Architect

The Opportunity

We are looking for an individual that can help implement our vision for the future-state of our
Enterprise Data Platform which supports our visionary technology strategy. You will be working
with a cross-functional team responsible for executing that vision and designing and
implementing the Data Platform that supports Q4 Platform vision, breaks data silos,
democratizes data, and fits non-functional needs such as being discoverable, addressable,
self-describing and secure.

The Data Architect will be responsible for creation and maintenance of a unified data stack and
framework that fits the needs of the Q4 Data Platform and supports cross-functional teams in
creation of the data products.

Vast experience working with content, data management and storage technologies. As a
technical leader, the data architect will provide technical leadership of common technical
configuration and support the technical deployment of solutions.

Responsibilities

● Be autonomous, self-driven, and capable of both navigating and leading through

● Develop scalable, resilient, highly-available services
● Design and lead implementation of data as a product technology stack.
● Unify data platform architecture and drive the product and engineering innovation
through design, implementation and maintenance of data infrastructure as a platform.
● Lead and develop data architecture, modeling, pipelining, governance, security and best
practices
● Effectively communicate and work with cross functional teams of systems architects,
technical leads, engineers and product managers to bring company and product vision
to life in an agile, effective, and efficient manner
● Lead and support ETL development
● Carry out source to target data mappings
● Participate in product discovery and lead product solutioning phases.
● Carry out proof of concept and prototypes data solutions
 ● Work with the delivery teams to provide consultation, governance on data architecture
and integration, and contribute to the delivery of projects
● Contribute to the development and publishing of data management standards,
principles, and policies
● Work with other data practitioners in the development of enterprise data services
● Provide leadership to ensure good data quality is intact and maintained when developing
data solutions
● Participate in the resolution of data quality and data integration issues

Qualifications

● Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field required, or equivalent

experience education
● Experience in Data Architecture standardization, and enterprise-level data governance
and quality initiatives
● Must demonstrate expertise in data analysis, data modeling, database design, database
implementation, capacity planning, and tuning.
● Expertise in modern cloud data management and analysis technologies.
● Expertise in software development, best practices and life cycle management
● Experience with NoSQL systems e.g. MongoDB, DynamoDB
● Expert level skill with SQL
● Familiarity with Microservices
● Experience with AWS
● Analytical mind, critical thinker, problem-solver
