Exam information

• Materials Physcis
o 3 h (90 Points => 45 Pts. to pass)
o A-block & B-block (WiSe23/24, dates tba)
o Please be aware of the registration and de-registration deadlines

• Former semesters/repetition:
o No automatic re-registration

• Bonus Tests (optional participation):

ü Helps us check your learning progress!
ü Helps you keep up and be better prepared for the exam!
ü Awards you up to 12 exam points!

Intro.– WiSe 2023/24 – S. 5

Bonus Tests information

For every chapter, an e-Test is released in RWTHmoodle after going

through the material in the lecture and exercise.

Assignment types: Multiple choice, calculations, drag & drop

Release period: Upon release each e-Test is available for 1 week
Max. duration: 60 min = 1 Exam point
120 min = 2 Exam points
180 min = 3 Exam points

Grading of each e-Test:

• ≤ 50% of e-Test points = no bonus points for the exam
• > 50% of e-Test points = Percentage calculation of the exam points
Example:
For 1h e-Test, obtaining 75% of the available points grants 0,5 exam points

Summary & General Tips

Materials Physics has 8 CP! It therefore requires a significant

amount of your time. Here‘s what you should do:

ü In class: Engage in the discussion of the topic and dont be

afraid to ask questions

ü After class: Go through the material uploaded to moodle,

study and ask questions to what you dont understand

ü Be active participants instead of passive listeners

ü Secure points from the e-Tests towards the exam

ü When in doubt, feel free to contact us and ask for advice
