ACT OF CONTRITION (Kneel)

L: Have mercy on us, Lord, in your kindness.

R: In your compassion, blot out our offense.

O wash us more and more from our guilt,

and cleanse us from our sin.

For we recognize our offense

and our sin is always before us
for against you alone have we sinned.
 What is evil in your sight we have done.

In your compassion, pardon all our sins,

and a pure heart create for us, O God.
Do not cast us away from your presence
nor deprive us of your Holy Spirit.
Look with compassion upon our contrite
heart
and an afflicted spirit and heal our
troubled conscience.

So that in the joy and strength of the

Holy Spirit,
we may proclaim your praise and glory
forever and ever.

O Sto. Niño, prostrate before your image, we

remember your desire that we become like little
children in order to enter your kingdom. With
child-like confidence, we offer you our petitions.

We beseech you to cast a merciful look on our

troubled hearts, and give us the grace we so
urgently need. And now we thank you for your
goodness.

For we trust that whatever we ask for in your

name will be granted. We praise and glorify you,
with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and
forever. Amen.
