Response (R): And our mouth will proclaim your praise. L: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. R: As it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever. Amen.
ACT OF CONTRITION (Kneel)
L: Have mercy on us, Lord, in your kindness.
R: In your compassion, blot out our offense.
O wash us more and more from our guilt,
and cleanse us from our sin.
For we recognize our offense
and our sin is always before us for against you alone have we sinned. What is evil in your sight we have done.
In your compassion, pardon all our sins,
and a pure heart create for us, O God. Do not cast us away from your presence nor deprive us of your Holy Spirit. Look with compassion upon our contrite heart and an afflicted spirit and heal our troubled conscience.
So that in the joy and strength of the
Holy Spirit, we may proclaim your praise and glory forever and ever. Amen.
HYMN: HOLY GOD, WE PRAISE THY NAME (Stand)
