Introduction (10 minutes):
 Begin by discussing what a melody is and how it
is made up of different notes played in a
sequence.
 Use a visual aid (board or paper) to illustrate
simple melodic patterns, like going up and down
a set of notes.

 Drill ( Sing Along with nursery rhymes)
Sing “ ARE YOU SLEEPING”

 Listening Exercise: Play or sing a simple melodic
 Motivation pattern and have the students listen attentively
 Repetition Exercise: Encourage students to repeat
the melodic pattern you played/sang using their
voices or clapping their hands

 Divide the class into smaller groups and provide


them with printed sheets of different simple
