I. Project Title

One act of kindness to end world hunger: A feeding program in Villa

Blanco

II. Executive Summary

Poor socioeconomic conditions, poor maternal health and nutrition,

frequent illness, and/or inappropriate infant and young child feeding and
care in early life.
Children who are moderately malnourished can frequently be
successfully treated at home or in an outpatient setting. The Barangay
Health Services should always have food supplies on hand to help the
children recover from hunger. Because the patients are poor, the value of
protein-rich foods is significant. The best way to address a child's dietary
deficiency is to feed them equally and nutritiously, despite an old wives'
tale that claims boys are more eager to eat.
This project proposal helps in addressing the issue of child
malnutrition. The implementation of a feeding program that provides
people free nutritious meals to reduce the rate of malnutrition became a
major solution to this matter. Feeding programs alleviate hunger,
enhances nutrition, and supports healthy children and family development.
Lack of necessary nutrients can cause malnutrition in children and expose
them to major health issues that can impede their healthy growth.

III. Project Description

The feeding program will start in the month of May 2023 wherein the
group will feed 50 children. The group will provide a meal like arrozcaldo to
be specific, for the children every Saturday for 4 (four) weeks. This meal
should provide all nutrients that children at the age need to grow up in a
healthy way. Hence, eating nutritious food is important.

IV. Objectives

1. To provide the Villa Blanco children who would directly benefit from this
project appropriate nutrition.
2. To provide the kids all the nutrients they require for healthy development.

V. Beneficiaries
The beneficiaries of this feeding program: The selected 100 children
ages 3-12 years old in Villa Blanco Pitoguhan, Almeria, Biliran.
VI. Work Plan
The group will upload this project proposal to gofundme—one of the
crowdfunding sites. If approval is granted, we will buy nutritious ingredients for the
meal that we’ll provide to the children of the said area. After processing all the
necessary pertinent requirements, the feeding program was materialized. The
feeding program which will be held in Villa Blanco will be commenced once we
receive the funds. Giving appropriate food with nutrients to the children has been a
struggle for many parents and most poor families, therefore our project could help
them prepare nutritious meals that their children needed, for them to grow healthy.
We are hoping that this small project will help create a better eating lifestyle
among the children residing in Villa Blanco.
