Theorem 5. Infinite Limits at Infinity
We say a function has an infinite limit at infinity and write
lim () = ∞.
→∞

If () becomes arbitrarily large for sufficiently large. We say a

function has a negative infinite limit at infinity and write
lim () =− ∞.
→∞

If () < 0 and |()| becomes arbitrarily large for sufficiently

large. Similarly, we can define infinite limits as →− ∞.
