Inter-House Rangoli Competition


Diwali Celebration

Date: 10th November, 2023


Time: 11: 40 am to 2:30 pm.
Location: Area under the Staffroom.
Theme: “Green Diwali – Celebrating with Consciousness.”
This theme emphasizes the importance of incorporating eco-friendly practices and sustainable
choices into the festivities. It encourages individuals and communities to minimize the
environmental impact of Diwali celebrations while still enjoying the spirit of the festival. This
can involve eco friendly decorations, using energy efficient lighting, opting for natural and
biodegradable materials, reducing waste, and promoting responsible consumption.
Additionally, it can include initiatives such as encouraging the use of eco friendly firecrackers or
organizing community clean up drives as part of the celebrations. By adopting a sustainable
approach to Diwali, we can honor tradition while also preserving the environment for future
generations.
Instruction to Houses:

• Rice/Materials used for rangoli designs should be colored prior to the day of the
competition.
• Each house must produce a design that incorporates their house color.
• The size of the rangoli design is specified to 8 × 8 ft.
• Each team is allowed to have a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 10
participants.
• Designs can begin at 11: 40 pm and must halt by 3 pm at which point the judges will be
engaging each house on an explanation of their produced design.
• Designs will be judged on creativity, originality and theme adherence.
• Area must be cleaned after judging and photos.
