Confidentialty Procedures
As a professional, reporting suspected child
abuse is an obligation. The duty to report is
overrided when providing personal
information about the child.

Information & suspicions
Children's Aid Society will require personal
information about the child such as their
name, date of birth, address and a
detailed description of your suspicions
Document the indicators of the abuse
immediately after the call. Store this
documentation somewhere safe.

Inform
After the call is made, inform your
placement supervisor and your faculty
advisor of the report you made. However,
you should not be discussing the details of
the information you reported with anyone
other than the Children's Aid Society
