BUSINESS CASE

You will be involved in 4 critical situations for the evolution of a Global Manufacturing Company. As referent of a
Business Function, you will be asked from the CEO to evaluate different options for each scenario and make a
strategic choice, sharing information and negotiating with colleagues from other functions. Each period is a month
in the life of the company.

All Future Owners will be part of a Team (≈5-6 members), playing a specific role among the following:

• CMO, it is responsible for price, advertising and assumes sales volumes

• COO, it is responsible for managing the stock and the production volumes

• CHRO, it is responsible for hiring and training employees

• CFO/Inv, it guides the company and ensures that the profitability is higher than the competitors’

Your task is to manage in the best possible way your assigned business function, ensuring that the company is
the best in the market. Each business function has dedicated information and can analyse dedicated historical
data. Those will be accessible via dedicated link: access the link, select your role and gather all relevant
information.

During the game you will be asked to make your own decisions and cooperate with others to optimize company
results. The assigned role will be fixed for all 4 rounds. Every round will have a defined timing and will end up
with a final decision, to be entered in a dedicated platform.

To better manage the time, we suggest that only one person for each company enters the game platform
and shares the screen (to permit to everyone to see the same page at the same time) and enters his/her
own decisions and the decisions communicated by his/her colleagues.

At the end of each game period, the results coming from the decisions taken will be available for download (excel
file format) and each Business function will have its own dedicated file: we suggest the person in charge of
managing the platform to download the files and share them with other colleagues (eg. via chat or via email).

Each file consists of 4 parts: the decisions entered, the decisions approved by the system, the effects of the
decisions and some market information for the next period. Please remember: this information is key to tackle the
next game round!
BUSINESS CASE

During the game you will need to share information and communicate with your colleagues to optimize the
Company results. To do that, you should use the first part of each game period to share information regarding
your area (eg. New information available and results coming from the previous round) with the other members of
the group, thus taking consciousness of the state of the company. We suggest you start the information-
sharing from the CFO!
