Ex 2: Put the correct verbs into the sentences below. (be careful with the 3rd person ‘s’)
Preparation:
- Print handouts or display for online lessons.
- Ideally, students should be familiar with the Present Simple before doing this lesson.
Teaching Method:
Step 1:
- Students complete the first exercise individually, matching the vocabulary to the pictures.
- Students compare their answers with a partner.
- Go through the answers and drill correct pronunciation.
Step 2:
- Students complete the sentences in Ex 2 with the missing verbs.
- You will need to pre teach naughty before they begin and/or allow them to use a dictionary.
- Remind students of the rules for forming the Present Simple, focusing on the use of the 3rd person ‘s’.
- Go through the answers focusing on use and pronunciation.
