Discharge criteria includes a mother maintaining a MUAC over 21cm for two visits, a lactating mother's infant becoming over 6 months old, cure after 4 months, death, absence from two consecutive visits, deterioration requiring inpatient care, or transfer to another site.

    TSFP Admission and Discharge Criteria (Pregnant and Lactating Women)

    ADMISSION CATEGORIES
    PREGNANT WOMEN, 2nd trimester (visible pregnancy), MUAC
    <21cm
    NEW ADMISSIONS

    BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS: MUAC <21cm, infant <6months

    OTHER Transfer from other TSFP sites;


    MOVEMENTS Readmission after defaulting

    DISCHARGE CATEGORIES
    MOTHER MUAC: > 21cm x 2 visits
    or
    CURED Lactating: infant >6 months (measure child and send to SFP if child
    has MUAC <12.5cm)

    DIED Death during time registered in SFP

    DEFAULTER Absent for 2 consecutive visits

    NON-CURED Has not reached discharge criteria within 4 months

    Condition has deteriorated and requires SC/hospital inpatient


    TRANSFER care*;
    Moved to another SFP site
