Statement of the Problem

This study aims to examine the selected student lived experiences of St. Joseph Community

High School of Sapad Inc.

This study sough to answer the following question:

1. What is the profile of the respondent in terms of:

1.1 Age

1.2 Gender (parent)

1.3 No. of Siblings

1.4 monthly income

1.5 Parents Occupation

1.6 Educational attainment

2. What is the lived experiences of selected students raised by solo parents in terms of:

2.1 physical

2.2 emotional

2.3 social

2.4 financial

2.5 intellectual

3. What are the student's actual experiences growing up with just one parent?

4. How do the students handle the difficulties?

5. What perspectives do Students who are raised by a single parent have?


Scope and limitation

This research focuses on examining the lived experiences of selected student raised by solo

parents at St. Joseph's Community High School of Sapad Inc. The data collection will be

conducted in St. Joseph community high school of sapad inc. with 20 Selected students

who have broad knowledge about this study and will become our respondents.

The result of this research will be applicable to the respondents and the people of St.

Josephs community high school of Sapad Inc. The questionnaire is the tool used by

researchers in gathering data and each of respondents will be given same questionnaire.

Research Respondent

The subject of this study is the selected student' for the time spent and program viewed of

St. Joseph's Community High School of Sapad Incorporated who officially enrolled in the

school year 2023-2024.

Research Instruments

In this study, one instrument will be used to gather the needed data. This questionnaire is a

researcher self-made using Like Scale This instrument will be checked by the thesis adviser

for validation. This questionnaire will use the two parts such as part 1 in their profile of the

respondents that includes age, gender, sex of parents who raised them, no. of siblings,

monthly income, educational attainment, and occupation. Part 2 lived experiences such as

physical, emotional, social, financial, and intellectual.


Data Gathering Procedures

The researchers will extensively deal in cooperation especially with their time and effort to be

more understood by their respondents. They will prepare a letter for approval a formal letter

would be given to the thesis adviser, adviser, member, and school chairman for permission

to conduct the study. After the Approval, they will compose questions regarding on their topic

and validating to the thesis adviser. The researchers will distribute the questionnaire to the

chosen respondents which is the Selected Students of St. Joseph Community High School

of Sapad Inc. They will be retrieval of data, analyzing, and interpreting the needed data.

solo parent to Understand the challenges and experiences of students raised by solo

parents is essential to provide them with better support and resources.

students.

This study sough to answer the following question:

1. What are the student's actual experiences growing up with just one parent?

2. How do the students handle the difficulties?

3. What perspectives do Students who are raised by a single parent have?

5. How are you going to answer your research question?

The research question of examining the lived experiences of selected students raised by

solo parents can be answered through a quantitative approach involving the development

and administration of a structured survey instrument. The survey will gather specific data

points related to the participants' experiences, challenges, and successes, allowing for

rigorous quantitative analysis to identify trends, correlations, and associations within the

responses.

6. How will you collect your data?

To start the gathering of data, the researchers will conduct a survey from the Selected

student of SJCHSSI. This study, two instruments will be used to gather the needed data.

These include the development and administration of a structured survey instruments such

composed of checklist.

7.Where is the setting of your study?


The study will be conducted at St. Joseph's Community High School of Sapad Inc. The

subjects of the study are only the Selected Students, which will be engaged by checklist

questionnaires.

8. How will you select your subject(s)?

The number of subjects needed by the researchers to complete this study will be 30 selected

students of SJCHSSI. Researchers will select subjects randomly regardless of their gender

and age.

9. Who will be your respondents?
