Press Release:
C&O 23-85973 Assault with a weapon/Criminal Mischief

This release is regarding information for C&O 23-85973, an assault with a weapon, criminal mischief, and DUI
investigation at the intersection of 6th Avenue North and North 27th.

On December 9, 2023 at approximately 12:33 pm Officers with the Billings Police Department responded to
numerous calls from concerned citizens and involved parties reporting a suspect that was driving a vehicle through
a religious group that was gathered at this intersection.

The suspect drove at or through the group several times, damaging equipment, and striking and injuring a 45 year
old male. The suspect then fled the area. Medical responded for the victim and Officers were provided with a
suspect description.

At 2:31 pm Officers located the suspect vehicle in the 700 block of Central Avenue and were able to initiate a
traffic stop on it and take the suspect into custody. The suspect, identified as Genevienne Rancuret, a 55 year old
local female was remanded into custody at Yellowstone County Detention Facility on the charges of eight (8)
counts of felony assault with a weapon, felony criminal mischief, and DUI.

** Updated information** Per the FBI’s request this case has been forwarded to their office for review. As it is
currently, the case will also remain under the review of the Yellowstone County Attorney’s Office.

The BPD would like to thank the supporting agencies; Billings Fire Department, AMR, Yellowstone County Sheriff’s
Office, and Montana Highway Patrol.
