forehead that seems to be deep.This wound
measured 1 inch across, 0.5 inches wide and 1/4
inches deep (Figure 1). The medical examiner also
noticed a bruise above Anna’s right eyebrow. The
presence of this laceration and bruise may indicate

Postmortem Changes
The estimated time of her death is around 10pm, on August 6th, as we used the Glaister
Equation. When she was found, the body was in full rigor mortis, and there was fixed lividity on
the anterior part of her body. Insect Activity occoured anywhere from 0-24 hours of death, and
there were eggs and blowfly larvae at the first intestar.

External Examination
There were no scars, marks, or tattoos. Body appears to nothing extraordinary.

Internal Examination
There are two main spots for bleeding, which are both in the forehead areas. The heart appears to
be normal and there is no problems. Her brain has TBI and her cells are similar to the with
Traumatic Brain Injury.

Case Summary
Anna Garcia, a female, aged 20, was found dead in the Gentry Life Science Building. She was
found face-down and had bruises on her right eyebrow, and a cut on her forehead. Her brain scan
shows she had TBI as there are lots of red blood cells. When we checked her stomach contents
and found 20mg of aspirin, it wasn't toxic. We also checked her heart, and even though the weight
was slightly bellow normal, everything seemed fine. All lab results came out normal. The body had
full rigor mortis and fixed lividity on her anterior side. There were also blowfly larvae and eggs.

Cause of Death
The cause of her death is TBI, or Traumatic Brain Injury, from hitting her head against the table She
probably The injury caused significant cerebral swelling, and this swelling prevented blood flow to
the brain, reducing oxygen to the brain, causing death. The manner of her death is an accident.
