STEP 3
INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH

Where your son or daughter studies in Peru can be one of the first hard decision made by
parents because of the complex of it and the many things you need to bear in mind before
choosing a school of quality. So, do you know the main differences between national and
private schools in Peru?

BODY PARAGRAPH 1 – LOCATION

National schools in Peru are typically dispersed across diverse areas, serving as educational
hubs accessible to a wide array of students, fostering socio-economic diversity. In contrast,
private schools tend to concentrate in central or affluent areas, reflecting a more
homogeneous student population due to their location and higher tuition fees. This
geographical distinction not only influences the demographic composition of each school type
but also plays a role in shaping the overall educational experience and opportunities available
to students in these contrasting situations.

BODY PARAGRAPH 2 - OPPORTUNITIES

National schools champion inclusivity, serving as educational melting pots that embrace
students from various socio-economic backgrounds. However, where private schools
outperform national schools is the prioritize extracurricular activities and the development of
additional skills. While national schools foster diversity and equal access to education, private
schools, through their emphasis on supplementary skills, aim to provide students with a more
tailored and enriched educational experience, each approach influencing the overall
educational journey in distinctive ways.

CONCLUDE PARAGRAPH

Deciding where your child studies in Peru is a tough call for parents due to its complexity and
the many considerations involved in selecting a quality school. Now that you've explored the
main differences between national and private schools – from their diverse locations to unique
opportunities – the decision-making process becomes clearer. National schools offer inclusivity
in varied areas, while private schools, often centralized, excel in extracurriculars and skill
development. Understanding these distinctions empowers parents to make an informed
choice, ensuring the best educational journey for their children in Peru.

REFLEXION PAPER
Being honest, I got lost when teacher talked about thesis statement and the difference from
that and the background information. Sadly I couldn’t understand some other topics due to
external problems with university and work; however, I’m doing my best to be on time and
learn the topics we are reviewing in class.
