Team Yellow Meeting

The meeting of Team Yellow began at 9:45 p.m. and was chaired by Bao Ngan. The agenda was
reviewed and members agreed to the time allotments for each topic of discussion.
Meeting purpose: to create a team charter as well as discuss group essay ideas and finish the
outline.
Team charter:
• The team charter is edited by Thanh Binh
• The team charter includes each member’s relevant skills and experience as well as roles
and responsibilities
• Team purpose and conditions of satisfaction have been discussed and included in the
charter
• Each team member agreed on the commitments, decision-making, conflict management
and updated contact information of each person
Essay ideas and outline:
• Every member of the team discussed parts of an essay, topic sentences and developed the
main ideas
• Group members shared their opinions on the references and arguments needed for the
essay

 REFLECTION OF THIS MEETING
Nguyen Phuoc Bao Ngan
This was our first meeting as a university group and there were many things that we did great and
somehow we were still confused about our teamwork. Before the meeting, each member didn’t
have much time to get to know one another well so when it came to the beginning of the online
meeting, we hesitated and wondered who was going to say something to start the meeting. Luckily,
one of the members said hello and then we began from the outline of our essay topic to team charter
and agenda. Even though there were some ideas in the essay outline we didn’t know how to
develop and it was quite time-consuming for us to figure out, we managed to have our work
finished well and submit it on time.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh

This is our first meeting and we had a deep talk after being divided into the Yellow group. The
meeting was quite good because we prepared a team meeting agenda and meeting minutes before
joining the meeting online on Google meet. Moreover, everyone attended on time and actively
shared opinions throughout the meeting so we could do a lot of great things to complete our
group assignments; however, it also had some struggles when we discussed our group
homework, such as how to develop an outline for a group essay or had to complete the
homework on time. It was hard, but luckily we did it together, so everything was quite good, and
I hope that in the next meeting we can work well together like in the first meeting.

Nguyen Hong Nhi

The meeting was a great chance for me to gain more insights into my team members. After the
meeting, we created an agenda and a meeting charter to assign responsibility to each member. By
this, everyone would be able to keep track of their progress, thereby completing the given tasks
on time. However, we had some troubles in expressing and organizing our ideas as we have not
worked together before. Therefore, I believe that by chatting more, we can ameliorate this
problem.

Nguyen Minh Tien

This is the first time my team has had a meeting. All members of the group are very friendly and
sociable. Before the meeting, we had some problems with the start-time meeting. We chose to
organize the meeting in the evening on the weekend, when most people are out having fun or
spending time with their families. Fortunately, my teammates are willing to spend their free time
participating in the meeting instead of other activities. Regarding our topic, we are clear and
well-prepared because it is quite popular. However, the structure of the essay may be difficult for
us. We are all newbies at university, so we are not sure how to write in what format. Luckily,
after consulting and checking the BAS guidelines and reliable sources, the problem was solved.
Finally, all members are very happy, and it is easy to create a comfortable atmosphere in which
everyone is capable of doing their best.

Le Duc Thuan
This is our first meeting as a university group, and although we did many things well, we are still
uncertain about our collaboration. Before the meeting, members didn't have much time to get to
know one another and along with the initial embarrassment that led to less interaction, so when it
came time to commence the online meeting, we hesitated and pondered who would make the
first statement. Fortunately, one of the members said greeting, and we began by discussing our
essay's outline, team charter, and agenda. Even though there were some ideas in the essay outline
that we did not know how to develop and it took us a considerable amount of time to sort it out,
we were able to complete and submit our work on time.
