METHOD STATEMENT FOR

RECTIFICATION OF WALL AND BASE JOINTS AS A


REMIDIAL MEASURE FOR LEAKAGES RECTIFICATIONS

1. INTRODUCTION
This method statement provides the details of the material to be used equipment/tools
method and procedures for the repair of FFC wet patch area in between wall and base using
construction grout. This Method Statement includes quality control aspects and safety
precaution to be implemented

2. FFC WET PATCH AREA REPAIR

2.4 METHODOLOGY AND PROCEDURES
❖ Both tanks will be emptied and allow for dry the surface
❖ A groove will be cut and chipping will be done for the surface roughening the whole
area along the wall and base joint (area shown in the figure below). If we have found
any of unsound areas or honeycombs, the required further chipping and repairs will be
done accordingly
❖ Properly apply bonding agent (bara emulsion) on groove surface.
❖ A grout mixture was prepared using 5kg Master flow with 900ml water mixed with
using the same equipment & mixture (if we found any of honeycomb, the
rectification method will be decided accordingly).
❖ As soon as grout mix is ready spared the groove surface with formwork support.

❖ The same rectification method will be applied for both sides of the wall and base
joints

❖ Allow to cure the rectified area

❖ Water will be filled after 2-3 days to check the leakages/wet patches

❖ Benching concrete will be followed after the testing done on the same area
up a thickness of 200mm by means of covering the rectified area
