KENYA DELIGHTS

INTRODUCTION :

Amboseli National Park is set on the Kenyan plains with Mt Kilimanjaro as a backdrop in the distance,
the park is world-famous for its substantial population of African Elephants which can be seen in herds of
over 100 individuals. In particular, the large bull elephants have some of the largest tusks in the animal
kingdom. Also to be spotted are ample herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and impala, as well as giraffes
and warthog. With all this variety you can be sure a healthy population of predators also call Amboseli
home. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and serval cats are all frequently seen in the park.

Lake Naivasha is the second largest freshwater lake in Kenya. Lake Naivasha is home to over 400
different bird species, making it a true paradise for avid bird watchers and nature enthusiasts. Here,
you’ll also have the opportunity to see the lakes vast hippo population and other wild animals. You will
an option to go for a boat ride to Crescent Island, well known for its bird life. Here you are likely to see
giraffe, zebra, Thompson's and Grant's gazelles, waterbuck, eland, and a great many bird species. The
huge fish eagle with its distinctive cry is common. /

Maasai Mara National Game Reserve is without a doubt Africa’s most famous safari destination. The
Reserve stretches 1,510 sq. km (580 sq. miles) and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. The terrain
of the reserve is primarily grassland and riverine forest with clumps of the distinctive acacia trees.
Maasai Mara is famous for the abundance of lion, the Great Wildebeest Migration and also the Maasai
people, well known for their distinctive custom and dress.

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
 Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport - Nairobi, meet your TBO representative who will
introduce you to your professional driver cum guide and gives you briefing about safari. Later
proceed to Amboseli (Approx 4 hours drive)
 Amboseli National Park nestled at the foothills of Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa,
distance of approx. 4 hrs drive
 Arrival at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge in time for Lunch.
 Afternoon game drive

Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park


 Enjoy your amazing breakfast,
 Depart for full day game drive to explore Amboseli National park
 Enjoy your picnic lunch at designated picnic site with amazing view
 Proceed for an afternoon game drive to discover Amboseli National Park, famous for being the
best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species.

Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha


 Enjoy your delicious breakfast at the lodge.
 Check out and depart for Lake Naivasha approx. 5-6hrs drive
 Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch, enjoy your lunch at Naivasha Simba lodge
 Afternoon enjoy the boat ride at the lake

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Mara


 Enjoy your tasty buffet breakfast.
 Check out from the lodge and hit the road to one of the most amazing places on Earth, Massai
Mara Game Reserve.
 Drive time is 6 hours to cover a distance of 280 Kms with amazing views of the Great Rift Valley
and the Country side.
 Arrival at Mara Simba Lodge
 You will be embarking on your first enthralling 2 to 3hrs game drive in the Mara.
 Return to the camp just in time for dinner and a great night sleep among the wilderness

Day 5: Explore Masai Mara Game Camp
 Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and proceed for an early morning game drive right at the crack of
dawn.
 You can do an optional balloon safari at a cost of US$ 450 with a bush breakfast or return back to
the lodge for breakfast
 Enjoy your delicious breakfast
 Relax at the lodge before a fabulous lunch.
 At 1600 hrs afternoon game drive to view the wild life in the savannas of Mara with endless plains
where more than two million wild beasts migrate from Serengeti in Tanzania.
 Return back to the camp by 1800 hrs.
 Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi


 Enjoy your breakfast at the camp
 Depart for a journey back to Nairobi. Drive time approx. 6 hours
 You will arrive in Kenya's bustling capital city in the early afternoon.
 On arrival transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your out bound flight

Important notes:

• Personal travel insurance cover is recommended for all visitors to East Africa.
• Once a booking is confirmed, an invoice will be sent, after which payment should be made
immediately to secure bookings.
• Please restrict baggage per person to 15 kilos if you are taking a flight and 20 kilos if you are doing a
road safari (1 soft bag per person)

Visa fee - USD 51 per person and it takes 3 - 4 working days to process
Children under 16 yrs do not require visas. 16 and above will require visa

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR KENYA (Kindly check updated rules before booking)

No PCR Test required if you are fully vaccinated. If not vaccinated then negative RTPCR is required
Passengers who are not vaccinated need RTPCR 72hrs. Children under 5yrs are exempted from
RTPCR.

The online health form link (ears.health.go.ke) is not working currently and passengers are unable
to register online. MOH has advised passengers to register and upload their vaccination certificates
on globalhaven.org and obtain the vaccine pass, which will be shown on arrival

Vaccination - Yellow Fever certificate (taken 14 days before arrival)
