The story begins in Madra, India where lived a mathematician named Ramanujan, Ramanujan has a wife

and went to a place which they called home. Some foreign men there thought that Ramanujan is just an
Indian and knows nothing about numbers, this is very sad for the fact that they think Ramanujan is not
smart. An old man talks to him about his math formulas and how it could change the world and that
other people would finally understand Ramanujan. Some men in England talks about Ramanujan and
how he has what it takes, they send Ramanujan a letter, Ramanujan was excited and his wife cut his hair
this part of the story amused us audiences because Ramanujan was actually accepted by the foreign
men. By then Ramanujan said goodbye to his family and rode a boat going to England where he would
meet the other mathematicians. But some of the men were mad for bringing an Indian in England. In
that part of the movie, we already knew that something bad may happen to Ramanujan for being Indian
and looked down from many people. But then Ramanujan was asked to join the lectures so he did and
his teacher, Mr. Hardy got mad at him. In a couple of time Ramanujan would finally show his formulas
and equations about infinity to the men, they were fascinated. He was invited to eat dinner once but the
other men saw how he ate and Ramanujan got upset so he went out of there. This showed us, audience
that not all of the men accepted Ramanujan. Ramanujan’s wife sent him letters about how much he
loves and misses him, this made us and the audience sad seeing how much his wife loves him. One night
Ramanujan saw snow, it was his first time to see or even touch snow, it surprised me because he was so
amused by snow. Ramanujan left some proof for his formulas to Mr. Hardy. And for some reason he felt
sick he was told he has tuberculosis, Ramanujan was told that he may not have a long life and die. This
made me upset because it hints his death by the end of the movie. Ramanujan now does not even drink
medicine or follow doctor’s orders he just prays. And since he was told that his proof was wrong, he
made new proof to make his formulas true. Mr. Hardy was then talking about Ramanujan’s proof and
how it was true. By then Ramanujan was accepted to the fellows. And after that he then came back to
India to his wife then a year later the fellows would have heard the news that Ramanujan died, that
made them all sad. This film shows the story of Ramanujan’s life, how he never gave up. I really enjoyed
watching this movie because it tells us to never give up even if we feel like we are about to fall.
