OFFER OF PROVISIONAL ADMISSION INTO HIGHER DEGREE PROGRAMME (2019/2020 ACADEMIC SESSION)

With reference to your application for admission into Higher Degree Programme in the University, I am pleased to inform you that you have been offered
provisional admission to pursue an academic programme leading to the award of (PGD) in the Department of (Survey and Geoinformatics) with effect
from 2019/2020 Session - on (Full-time) basis.

Please take note of the following conditions, which are related to your admission and registration.

1. This offer of admission is strictly provisional and may be revoked if:

a. you fail to formally accept this offer by paying the acceptance fee of N10,000.00within 2 weeks of notification of admission and other
charges within three (3) weeks after payment of acceptance fee;
b. you are unable to satisfy the necessary requirements for admission and registration; and
c. you cannot produce at the time of registration, the original copies of your certificates, transcripts, NYSC Discharge Certificate and
other academic credentials.
2. The duration of your course and other conditions relating to it, are as contained in the Prospectus of the School of Postgraduate Studies (also
available online).
a. If you accept this offer, kindly follow the procedure for registration as stated on http://portal.spgs.futa.edu.ng.
b. you are to pick the screening form from the department and proceed to SPGS with the signed screening form for further screening
procedures before payment of fees.
4. It is mandatory that you appear in person for clearance at the Admissions Office of the School of Postgraduate Studies. Please note that this
offer will be revoked and your slot given to someone else, if within six weeks from the date of this letter you have neither (i) completed
and returned the printed acceptance forms nor (ii) submitted the originals of your credentials for clearance.
5. Payment of all fees must be made immediately, after completing screening exercise as provisional offer of admission may lapse thereafter.
6. It is mandatory for all candidates to attend the Induction Programme and the Matriculation Ceremony as sanctions for not attending the
Programmes may include withdrawal of admission, among other penalties. The date and venue will be announced later on the SPGS Portal on
FUTA website.
7. It is mandatory to complete necessary procedures of registration into the session within Six (6) weeks of the beginning of the academic
year and renew your registration annually until you finally complete the programme. Late registration after six (6) weeks will
automatically attract penalty.
8. For International students, when applying for entry permit or visa, you may be requested to furnish theoffice of the Director-General, Federal
Ministry of Internal Affairs, Abuja with the following items of information to accelerate the processing of your application.
a. Your nationality
b. Date and place of birth
c. Passport number, date and place of issue
d. Validity of passport
e. Anticipated length of stay at the Federal University of Technology, Akure
f. Sponsorship
It is important to note that a residence permit is necessary for the confirmation of an offer of admission. You may contact the Director,

9. The information on fees payable is on the PG Portal.

Please note that if it is discovered at anytime that you do not possess any of the qualifications which you have listed to have obtained, the admission will
be withdrawn immediately.

 PROCEDURE FOR THE e-PAYMENT
1. Login to the portal by clicking on "Students Login".
2. After successful login, click on "Get Payment Advice"
3. Select your "Programme", "Department", "Session", and "Payment type", then click "Get Payment Invoice button"
4. Print the "Payment Advice"/ Note the "Payment ID" and "Amount".
5. Visit any Bank on Etranzact platform e.g.

6. Obtain a Deposit slip
7. Complete the slip indicating the purpose of payment (e.g. Acceptance Fees for Masters)
8. Indicate your obtained "Payment ID" as the "Payee ID" for payment; see sample below
9. Visit the School of Postgraduate website on the internet: http://www.spgsfuta.com
10. To verify your payment on the portal, login with your "Username" and "Password" and click on ""Payment Verification""
11. Follow other instructions as specified on the portal
