“Children & Science” Primary School Science Education Panel

Invitation

Hello! The National panel themed “Children & Science” will be hosted by the
Education Department of Beijing Normal University (BNU), The Scholar
Committee of Beijing Normal University, and Beijing Primary Education
Research Center of BNU in October in Beijing. Beijing ZhongGuanCun No.1
Primary School and other primary schools from all over the world will participate
in this event.

In the event, topics of “The Science around Us” and “Science Education from
an International Perspective” will be discussed. Principals, science teachers,
scholars, scientists and education experts from the United States, Finland, and
Israel will be invited to discuss the relationship between children and science
education, and to share the latest research results of primary education.

Contents:

(1) Morning, Oct. 27th. Science teachers from the United States, Finland,
and Israel will each deliver a model science class. Each teacher will choose
their own content and level of the class for their model science lesson.

(2) Afternoon, Oct. 27th. Principals from the United States, Finland, and
Israel will give presentations on science education in their school for 10 to 15
minutes.

We will cover all the fees, including round-trip plane tickets, hotel
accommodations and meals from October 26th to October 29th. As we will only
be having one principal and one science teacher from each country attend this
event, it is greatly appreciated if you can promptly respond regarding if you are
able to attend this event. Thank you for considering this invitation.
