SETTING
(The Filipino Adaptation) The story takes place somewhere along the
Marikina River.

THEME
A mentally impaired father was wrongfully accused of a crime that he
did not commit. His daughter, Yesha, had snuck into prison. The movie
touches the theme of family, friendship, innocence, and specially Justice.

STYLE
It is a comedy drama, with a far-fetched storyline that might appear silly
at times, but it's so pleasingly executed and is full of heart.
TONE
It is very heartwarming story. Full of humor, love, compassion and
immense sadness.

POINT OF VIEW
It is a Third Person Point Of View.

CONFLICT
The story progresses as the conflict arises around Yong Gu being
accused of abduction, sexual assault and murder of a little girl and was
wrongly imprisoned. There marks their pursuit of real justice.

EXPOSITION
Joselito "Lito" Gopez is a loving and caring father despite of his illness.
He is mentally impaired and has an intellectual of a six years old. He
lives in a run down house near the Marikina River together with his
daughter Yesha.

RISING ACTION
- He gets into a physical conflict with Defense Secretary Yulo, who has
just bought his daughter the final Sailor Moon backpack, a gift Lito had
been saving up for. Soon after, Secretary Yulo's daughter dies in a freak
accident while taking Lito to the store that sells the same backpack. She
slips on the wet pavement and ends up taking a fatal blow to the head.
When Lito attempts to resuscitate her, a passer-by mistakenly believes
he is molesting her. Lito has been wrongfully accused of kidnapping,
murder, and rape of a minor. He was imprisoned and assigned to cell no.

CLIMAX
His cellmates helped him to stay contact with his daughter and they
secretly hid Yesha to the cell. They also helped him practice his answers
to his hearings. But Secretary Yulo threatened him to hurt Yesha if he
denied the crime. Lito chooses to sacrifice himself and he plead guilty
and was declared with death penalty.

FALLING ACTION
Before his execution date, fellow inmates work on a hot air balloon and
force Lito and Yesha to board to try and let them escape, but ultimately
failed because of a rope connected to the hot air balloon caught in a
barbed wire, later on in the film Lito was executed.

DENOUMENT
Yesha, who has been formally adopted by Johnny, has become a lawyer
years after Lito's execution. She gathers all of her late father's fellow
inmates, who have now been released, to testify during his retrial, which
culminates in his acquittal. She then imagines herself and her father
doing their signature dance.
